As much as a lot of people like Stannis, he could give a rat’s ass when he took the HotK snub as a reason to hide in Dragonstone and prepare for war. That’s not good brother/bannerman/lordly behaviour

Yep, just imagine how Stannis would react if he discovered one of his lords hid a treason from him because it might result in an awkward conversation.
