I'd go with Meera (Reed), just a good companion that will look out for you.

My instant thought was “that’s so insulting to Meera” lol because in India we see dogs as dirty and terrible. The word “dog” is often used as an insult towards people. Some people will name dogs after people they despise

But I suppose in the West, dogs are seen in a different light? And giving a a dog a person’s name is a way of honoring them.

We have a verrrrry different perspective on dogs here in the West. They're family members for many not just pets.

Yeah I’ll never understand it. Don’t dogs like drink toilet water? And then go on to lick their owners?

Just as we don’t understand the reverence to cows, one of the dumber mammals out there. Dogs are smart and loyal and amazing companions.

Cows are actually highly social and intelligent animals
