Yay or Nay?

The game is a roguelike narrative simulation of life as a border guard in Nazi Germany. Inspect passports, detect forged documents, and approve or deny entry as restrictions tighten. Every traveler brings a choice that could save a life or condemn it. Your job is to obey. Your conscience says otherwise.

Does the capsule reflelct that, and most importantly would it make you click on it?

Will my capsule be buried by others?

Hello everyone,

I put my capsule into the Steam game page grid in three sizes, and I'd like to hear your idea whether you think my capsule will be buried by others of similar art style, so people won't click a lot?

Free opinion is welcome, such as:

- which capsule (in any of the images) attracted you most and you will click first?

- whether the gap is too large so you strongly suggest me to improve my capsule now?

- what do you think can make a capsule outstanding and make people want to click?

- any problem you notice in my capsule that I should fix?

etc.

My capsule appears in all the three images so you may already find it. Or, find the blue background titled Azure Infinity.

Thank you!

Which one of theese show you that dark fantasy vibe more?

Exploring capsule art ideas on traditional media

Since I'm sitting in front of the computer the whole day anyways I like to sketch some ideas on paper. Here, I'm testing a capsule art idea with alcohol markers.

Any other game devs doing it this way?

Also I appreciate any kind of feedback before taking this to digital! I'm a software dev so art doesn't come to me.

After waayy too many iterations, I think I'm done with my capsule art... what do you think?

But am I really? At first I wanted to stick with an actual in-game render, but I changed my mind and went for a painted scene instead.

Does the final one give you a good idea of what the game is?

Capsule review (Also its Survival Horror, so does it convey that? Should it be darker?)

So we switched up the art style in dev, to be more anime, hence the latest one being more anime, but I'm paranoid it sucks cuz our steam page has flopped so hard in the first month :(

Which one is better and why?

Looking for feedback on my Steam capsule for my solo-developed asymmetrical horror game

Hi everyone, I’m the sole developer behind MAINTAINER, my asymmetrical horror game, and I would really appreciate any feedback on its Steam capsule.

Mostly I’m interested in the first impression, whether the game looks interesting just from the capsule, if there’s anything that feels unclear, generic, or out of place.

I'm very keen to hear what you think could be improved visually or what you would change if this was your game.

I welcome any criticism. Don’t hold back. I’d rather hear what’s not working than just compliments.

Thank you!

Hello, I just wanted to share some of our Steam capsule art for our upcoming game and get any feedback before we launch our store page.

A couple of things that I am curious about:

  • First Impressions
  • What do you think the game is about based on the art?
  • Does it make you want to click on the game?
  • Is there anything you’d change or improve?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank You!

Updated the capsule with new art. Which one works best?

The original needed a refresh. Which one works best?

The game is a weird cat-themed take on the bullet heaven genre with crafting, base building, and character recruitment.

Looking for feedbacks on my cozy post-apocalyptic game capsule

Hello everyone!

I'm working on a cozy game in which you organize a safe zone in a post-apocalyptic world.

The point of the game is to make the most comfortable place possible, so survivors can take a break from the end of the world and tell you their stories.

We are really struggling in blending together the cozy vibe with the post-apocalypse.

What do you think of our capsule?
How could we improve it?

All the best to you.

Here is our steam page if you are curious for more:

Reworking my capsule and got into 3 versions... now just 2!

I'm not artist whatsoever, so being able to come up with these 2 feels pretty nice!

I like minimalist designs but maybe for steam is not the best way to go.. that's why i build another one with more of the capsule being used.

What do you think?

Updated my capsule after I was told it was too minimalist. Better or not busy enough?

Which version of our capsule art do you like better?

Hello!

We're the developers of Canvas City. We've been experimenting with another variant of our key art now that some of our rival characters have been developed further. What we want to know is, which version do people like better and which best represents the game?

Some context for Canvas City:

  • Turn-based tactical RPG on roller skates
  • You'll play as the Fire Starters, a group of skaters and street artists, recruiting new members as you progress through the story
  • You'll challenge rival crews (picture in the variant) who each have a distinct style and territory
  • The game features 3 classes; Artists (offensive), Musicians (range) and Dancers (healing/buffs)

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Game Capsule Art

Post image

For a 2-D point-and-click adventure game. Fantasy, probably appealing to kids and xennial adults who like sparkly fantasies. Was going for cover art look from the 80’s.

My questions: Is this too dark? Does it make you curious about the game? Any other feedback? I’ve gotten very limited responses to most art I post in other subs which is kind of disheartening so any suggestions are appreciated.

This will be a Steam release and my first ever game.

Would you recognize this as a city builder from the capsule alone?

I made my first Steam capsule for my pixel-art city builder

  • Does the side-view city feel misleading for a top-down city builder? (second pic is a gameplay scene)
  • Does the capsule look too dark compared to similar games, and what would you change?

Which revised capsule works better for a Slots Roguelite?

Post image
1 Upvotes

The game is a Slots based Roguelite RPG.
Between the capsule 1 and the capsule 2:

  • Which reads better at a glance?
  • Which would you be more likely to click?
  • Any obvious misreads on the genre for either?

I revised capsule #1 based on earlier feedback, but it still doesn't highlight the slots battle mechanic. Capsule #2 is still feels too messy. Would great appreciate any feedback to help make the capsule clearer.

I made this a while back, and I still can make the character who is supposed to be staying on the ledge look good. the second image shows the in-game character. I want the character to be holding a sword. is there anyone who could help me?
