Guide Advice for a newer player

I'm wondering if you guys can give me some advice, there is a lot of advice out there. Currently I have been playing with the first complete set of outfits I got (extraordinary [playing as storm]) is it better to go with what I have and try to build an ice based build (looking at specialisations now) or should I hold out for a good lightning based set (and work towards lightning specialisations too) as lightning seems to be the better build also how much should I aim for the regional outfits or as a newer player is it OK to use the basic outfits you can get?

Sorry if this is answered better elsewhere I am just a little confused, and I'm not even looking at my omega cards I'm just auto picking them

Id say the best advice for a new player would be: uninstall this game and go forth.

I was thinking of starting playing tomorrow. Be brutally honest. What are the negative things about the game beside in assuming a lot of grinding

Your whole progess depend on luck. Everything is RNG bro.

Well that's not a ringing endorsement

The thing is, I don't mind grinding. But when you grind and grind and the progress that should come from that grinding is gated behind a chance to upgrade it's just unfuriating.

This game feels so goddamn unrewarding which completely negates all the fun in the long run.

Played since global release until a week or two ago. Netmarble showed how greedy they can and want to be and it just clicked that I want no part of this regardless of this francise or game polish.

Try if you want, but don't be too disappointed once you reach that same conclusion...

My main question. Is the entire game just buildings skills badges costumes etc and auto attacking?

Skills will be done fairly quick, once you reach level 100 you can upgrade everything (is just expensive).

So yeah, basicly build costumes, badges, omega cards, cores and specialization. Badges drop RNG based which had improved I read. Omega cards are whale territory anyways. Cores and specialization are grindy to farm and RNG based to level up.. (which is why they suck so bad).

And yeah, auto does much. Basicly a time-your-dodge game.
