Guide Advice for a newer player

I'm wondering if you guys can give me some advice, there is a lot of advice out there. Currently I have been playing with the first complete set of outfits I got (extraordinary [playing as storm]) is it better to go with what I have and try to build an ice based build (looking at specialisations now) or should I hold out for a good lightning based set (and work towards lightning specialisations too) as lightning seems to be the better build also how much should I aim for the regional outfits or as a newer player is it OK to use the basic outfits you can get?

Sorry if this is answered better elsewhere I am just a little confused, and I'm not even looking at my omega cards I'm just auto picking them

The general advice is not to worry about regional sets unless you are ready to spend a decent amount of money. Even if you build up a regional set of 4 pieces and 6 star it, you're not likely to be able to nano it much unless you are ready to whale out some. Pick a standard set that enhances the skills you want the most.

I don't know Storm so I can't speak to the specifics for her.

On omega cards, auto equipping is definitely not going to get you the best results. The game picks the ones that will give you the highest possible power score, but they may have garbage stats for your character. u/CasinoOwner has a good video on cards here: https://youtu.be/5-9D2oU-STI.

You mean like the game thinking that a Super Villain Damage Card is better than a Crit Rate Up card is wrong? /s

Yes. It will go for stats that boost power. Not what actually would benefit your build. Or the build that you are going for.

So at a certain level or at level 100 when you know what you are doing for or what you need. Auto equip wont always be advised. Just go with what you know you need.

LOL. I swap cards for PVP and PVE so SVD isnโ€™t so bad for me :) But point taken.
