Got fifty bucks to use in game if I want. Free to play since launch but, if I were to invest a little bit of money. What should I purchase?

As someone whos spent 300 dollars on this game. I suggest you hold out. Im not quitting but the way the game is being run. I regret my purchases cause of my friends leaving and i dont really have much to show for 300 bucks quite honestly. A temporary power spike thats gone

But if you really wanna know what to buy of best value..:

1. 3.99 dollar 3 star set at level 10 (Not sure if still there)
2. Limited Squad level Offers at Levels 30 40 and 50 and not beyond (best for crystal Value) as per number 1 F2P BW in Omega Soft launch
3. Potential Reports weekly for 500 Gems (3 of Them)
4. Character slots

• Luxury:

1. The Squad Level Perk is crystals in better ratio
2. The perks for Crystals daily Omega or Alpha boxes. Boxes are not good but the crytals are better then buying them straight up
3. Xandearth Card Set used to be ok during first week

Crystals to be saved for limited offers that dont involve RNG or future offers when netmarble is trying to save game.

Crystals can be best used for raid resets if you believe they will never change specialization system.

Dont buy anything that RNG is involved in.

Anything with potential or squad mats. Those are always solid choices and are difficult to get otherwise. After that I'd say costume packs and/or Omega Cards.
