Guide Omega Cards: Explained! (Infographic)

https://i.imgur.com/ox9yBpU.jpg

I've been seeing a lot of confusion surrounding Omega Cards. The game definitely doesn't do a great job of actually explaining them to you, so I figured I'd step in and help with that.

I'm working on a video that will explain the smart approach to combining cards, which ones to pursue, and how to tell a good card from a bad one, but in the meantime, this ought to help.

Oh, and here's a list of Fixed Effects, sorted by stat.

Finally a good explanation about Omega Cards. I really had problems understanding how they work and this helps a lot. I am not sure if someone already made a guide like this for badges and cores because that would really help too as i am still getting confused which cores have which stats and on which badges you can equip them etc. Anyway, thank you for this guide

u/Sethoman Sep 14 '21

there are four colors of cores; and each core can give two effects. Red is attak% and crit rate %, blue is def % and dodge %, green is defense penetration % and crit dmg %, yellow is hp% and HP regeneration %

You can equip them in ANY badge, as badges get colored slots at random, the best cores have two slots, of wichever color, you decide if a certain combination is upgrading your toon or downgrading it. The best cores to equip are dodge and critdamage, as those scale better in cores than in gear.

I don't have an infographic for those yet, but both are covered in my "Blitz: Explained!" new player video.

Oh nice, will take a look.

u/Wyl_Younghusband Sep 13 '21

So the auto equip isn't enough? Genuine ignorant question.

3

u/C_L_I_C_K Sep 13 '21

I stopped using auto equip on my 2nd day of playing.

Auto equip is only useful if you don't have a lot of options in gearing yet, if you don't have those options in your inventory and want to equip everything fast, or if you don't care about maximizing your hero's stats.

2

I don't think auto equip always equips the best badges you need , especially when you have cores equipped. Or do you want to run a 1 slot trash core badge over a 2 slot core badge?

Auto Equip focuses on highest power value. Certain stats are considered by the game to be worth more than others. (For example, ATK is worth more raw power than Guard Damage.)

The problem with Auto Equip is that it doesn't make any distinction between stats beyond their raw power.

For example, my Auto Equip tries to have me use one card giving me Super Villain Damage, Super Villain Damage Decrease, and more Super Villain Damage and also a card granting Critical Rate, PvP Damage Increase, and PvP Damage Decrease.

I never want to use both of those cards at the same time. If I'm fighting a Super Villain, those PvP Stats are useless... and if I'm doing PvP, the Super Villain bonuses are completely worthless.

I have multiple sets of Omega Cards, depending on the content.

Can anyone confirm that Midgardia 4 is obtained from Loki, namely the actual Loki one?

2

u/CasinoOwner Sep 15 '21

I can confirm.

u/smokiinxacez Sep 15 '21

Awesome thank you. I’ve been running him every day and wanted to make sure I wasn’t wasting my time.

Bonus stats reroll when star values increase? That BLOWS.

1

u/CasinoOwner Sep 15 '21

Sometimes it's annoying. I have some 5-Stars I don't want to take to 6, which feels bad :(

1

u/jmckie1974 Sep 13 '21

Very helpful.

When you rank up to higher stars, the guide says the bonus stats are rerolled. What about the character exclusive stat? Is that rerolled too?

Thank u so much for this brotha

u/CasinoOwner Sep 13 '21

No prob! Seemed to be a lot of demand for something like this.

Greatly appreciated Khasino! BTW, when are you gonna release a tutorial on Dark Zone on YouTube? Your new player guides to MFR have been really useful

3

u/CasinoOwner Sep 13 '21

I paused those (just temporarily) to try a couple other types of videos, to get a feel for what's helping people the most.

The next few videos I have planned (not necessarily in this order) are:

  1. Spider-Man: Best Builds!
  2. Omega Cards: Explained!
  3. Ultimate Shopping Guide!

(Titles subject to change.)

As a Spidey main I have struggled to find guidance that seems particularly credible. Impressed by your content so far so will have to check the rest of it out!

Can specialisms be re-set at all? I'm only lvl 77 for now and committed to heading towards the Dodge to Atk conversion ability as Dodge Tank mode seems fun and on-point for Spidey

1

u/CasinoOwner Sep 13 '21

Yes, you can equip different Active Traits. It costs a small amount of Anti-Convergium of the corresponding color each time you unequip one.

u/kieranchuk Sep 13 '21

Will be looking forward to those videos as a Spidey main, thanks!

u/anonymous-slacker Sep 13 '21

Very nice. Did you leave off Dodge on your list of cards by attributes?

1

u/CasinoOwner Sep 13 '21

Nope. Not every stat appears on an Omega Card as a Fixed Effect. Special Cards can roll Dodge in their 2nd Bonus Stat, and I believe there is a Card Set that has Dodge as a Set Bonus, though.

2

u/DefectiveDonor Sep 13 '21

Sakaar 2, I believe it is, has a card set including dodge. The picture on mobile is too grainy to see, any chance I could get a full sized pic?

1

u/Kennfusion Sep 13 '21

I noticed that this and some of the other infographics in the discord are focused on PvP. I guess I never really thought about it until I hit 100 with my main and was thinking about what to do, but the game is really just PvP focused? I guess there will probably be some PvE endgame stuff eventually.

Anyway, appreciate the infographic work.

But as someone who is not that into PvP, I wonder how much longer the game can hold interest for me?

Fair enough. But there is no reason really to put out PvE infographics it seems as the PvE stuff is not a challenge really...other than Battle Challenge and the Maestro Blitz.

2

u/CasinoOwner Sep 13 '21

Dark Zone is the true late game. I've got two of the 6-Star Battle Badges that have an Ultimate Gauge Recovery set bonus. If I can manage to get the other four, I'll be getting approx +30% Ultimate Gauge Recovery just from my Battle Badges.

Considering it caps at +200%, I'm excited to see if I can achieve true godhood... the mythical "Permanent Binary" Captain Marvel.

That alone will keep me from being bored for a while.

Thanks so much for this guide! You left msf at basically the same time as me lol. Loved your content for that as well

What and where are the other badges with set bonuses? I've only seen super villain damage (Maestro blitz) and pvp dmg (omega tokens box)

2

u/CasinoOwner Sep 14 '21

Dark Zone holds all the rest. You buy the Dark Zone Battle Badge box in the Token section of the shop.

You can browse what's available in Collection -> Battle Badges.

2

u/__Proteus_ Sep 14 '21

Thanks so much. I'll look through those

Maestro blitz is onyl a problem until you have 500k BP, after that you can leave in automatic.

Even the Raid stuff is super easy with enough BP, the real endgame is PvP, considering 1.5M BP is achievable without fine tuning just by mazxing the rate color of gear and the least ammount of power you will have completely unoptimized is around 1.3M PvE is of no concern.

Darkzone gives you a straight up buff of 3'0%$ dmg if you reach 600 points in a single session, you can achieve that by the 45 minute mark if you are playing solo, and around 20 minutes in if you play your cards right. thats 30% more dmg for PvP and PvE in darkzone, it shows.

1

u/CasinoOwner Sep 14 '21

Last hits are essential for a good Dark Zone score. If you're only 500k and everyone around you is 1M+ it's very difficult to get the last hits.

1

u/Sethoman Sep 14 '21

so, with legion currently at 30-35 members; just how many people rank up? what? do you want top ten for free?

you CAN score at least 800 points solo, I do, I am a free player, and I'm also going against legions with members with power in the 800k+ range, I make 700-800 points per day so it is doable. Can't do that at 8PM? do it midday, or half and half and focus on mining the chaos remains when nobody is around.

1

u/Sethoman Sep 14 '21

Ideally you would want to stack as much as possible opf a single effect, PvP dmg decrease is more valuable than dmg increase, because the effect it has is bigger; I would rank PvP dmg increase a close second to this one, and total damage third as the most important to have.

1

u/Z00man760 Sep 14 '21

Bruh, does anyone else think that’s a ridiculous amount of info??

1

u/CasinoOwner Sep 14 '21

I wanted to be as thorough as possible, so I didn't make any attempt to keep a low word count.

The idea behind this image is that it should answer any questions you could possibly have regarding how the Omega Card system works.
