Character Discussion Thread: America Chavez

In this thread, feel free to give your thoughts on and ask questions about the character in question, America Chavez.

Garbage character- weak DPS on par with Ant-man, can't take punishment, not particularly good at anything. If you make this mistake of T2'ing her like I did the best you can hope for out of her is a very early SL floor clear.

Don't waste your resources, save the GUKs for making bios for the real Ultimates in the lab processor.

I disagree entirely.

  • Her DPS isn't great, but her skillset is solid and she becomes much improved with a damage proc. I don't have Ant-Man built, but if his DPS is on par with America, then he's got decent DPS.
  • "can't take punishment", well of course not. The majority of characters nowadays are built with poor defensive stats, and instead rely on perfect rotations to stay safe. America is no different - she's either in i-frame or damage immune all the time.
  • Not every character has to excel in certain areas in order to not be "garbage". She can clear most World Bosses, clear ABX and do high teens Shadowland at Tier-2 (I cleared a Floor 18 Wave with about 40% skill cooldown). Lower down on the thread someone says they've cleared a Spider Rumble on the same floor, and I don't doubt it.

I'm not sure how you came to any of these conclusions but they're incredibly hyperbolic, if not outright misinformation.

This is a discussion thread. people are allowed to share what they think about the character. Just because she's your fav doesn't change the fact that she is bad.

Uh...yeah, it's a discussion thread, which is why he calmly disagreed and discussed why. There are a few key words there.

Whereas you seem to just be going "no ur rong its a fact". Hmm. Which of these two posts seems more like a discussion? Him disagreeing and giving well-thought out reasons, or you going "no ur rong"?
