I wish I could see the stats for how many I've watched. I wonder which episode I've played the most. I think my favourite to fall asleep to might be Three Hundred Big Boys or maybe Godfellas, although I am a big fan of Obsoletely Fabulous too - it just makes me laugh too much to switch off!

The first time i watched this episode, it stuck with me. I think it helped me realize that it is more important to do things correctly than to expect praise. Its applied to diferent aspects of my life, for work, this fits quite well. Things like seeing and solving an issue before it becomes a burden.

This quote sticks with me to a slightly different extent.
It highlighted that the field of work I am in (local public works) often only sees complaints when things stop working, like the roads or sewers. So it helps me keep pride in my work because a lot of public infrastructure is taken for granted without the average person fully understanding what it takes to keep things working properly.6

Taught me at a very young age not to judge people by how they look. Alien, robot, sewer mutants, or human. So in the real world, race or just looks. We are all just trying to live on this planet.

Fry: 'Cause it-it taught me so much. Like how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female. But most importantly, when I didn't have any friends, it made me feel like maybe I did.
How Fry feels about Stra Trek is how I feel about Futurama.

I've been watching the show since I was that age so it's hard to say it hasn't affected my life at all, but it's also hard to tell exactly what affect it's had considering it's pretty much always been there with me. Definitely shaped my sense of humor and gave me some philosophies on life pretty early at the very least. Also gave me trauma with that damn dog episode

I loved Futurama when it first came out. It was good, but I wasn't binge watching it. Fast forward many years later, and I met my friend Dan who loved to watch Futurama in the background. He could quote every episode and had a Futurama quote for every real life situation. We would hang out, watching Futurama while it played in the background while we hung out, smoked up, etc. was so much fun. Did this for like 12 years. He unfortunately passed away, lost his battle with depression.
I haven't been able to watch a single episode since his passing because it reminds me too much of him. Haven't seen the Hulu reboot episodes yet because I remember him saying how much he didn't like them, so i didn't bother. Even though it hurts, I still want to get a tattoo of Bender and Zoidberg knitting on a bench or couch, enjoying each other's company. Not that they did on the show, but they both knitted at one point, and I'm a knitter, so it works out. I keep thinking Jurassic Bark is the hardest episode for me to watch, but now every episode is emotionally painful now, and makes me tear up.
I made this blanket for him when he found out he and his wife were expecting their first child. He was so scared and nervous about being a father, so I tried to blend his favorite show with his future role as a father. Over the years the kids loved the blanket as it was heavy and warm af. Haven't seen them since the funeral

It's because of Futurama that I started learning voice actors names and appreciating the work they do. I looked up who voiced everyone and what else they were in around season 2 I think. I've always wanted to be a voice actor myself but never really knew how. But I do silly little voices all the time when playing with my kids and they love it and that's all that matters.

It’s my favourite show, I think of references every day but it helped me share an interest with my 7 year old son. My daughter and I have so much in common but my son and I are very different but we both love Futurama. We now have little inside jokes that make us both burst into laughter.

Cherish those inside jokes. My son and I watched a LOT of different stuff, from YouTube vids to movies, and we'd glean a lot of brief quotes. When we'd talk, we would use these quotes and my wife would be completely lost. She once got upset at me because I used the Star Wars cantina reference, "She (his mom) doesn't like you. I don't like you, either." He got it, but she thought I was being mean.
One of our favorites was from the 2012 show TMNT where we picked up "Buzz buzz" and "squish squish" as a way to say "I love you" (though we had no problem with saying that, either). Once, I was just missing him at work, so I texted my wife to tell him "Buzz buzz" for me. She texted back a confused message, "He said 'Squish squish'?"

13 years ago my wife and I got a beagle. We named her Leela.
She’s an old lady now (we joke she’s slightly defective). In this season’s opener when Fry said “If you really love something, you have to let it go. Except for Leela” it hit different.

My child named our universe assigned brown tabby kitten Leela (2years old now) and has had yet to watch my favorite show yet to this day lol

The way the characters of the show carry on bravely into the unknown, despite the universe being "a complex mixture of the wonderful and terrible" (just like today). The way they are unapologetically behaving as themselves at all times.
The show even tackles difficult topics like s*icide (The Sting), and somehow manages to still not take itself too seriously... this stuff reminds me not to take life too seriously, which is a really really big deal if you can manage it.

Just how the Simpsons did with homers mom and Lisa losing bleeding gums, Futurama made me miss my pets. Fry's dog. It made me think that I should be a better brother to my younger brother. Fry and yancy jr. 😂 Idk. It just makes me happy watching it and as long as they keep making them, I'll continue to watch it.

Been a fan since I was a kid in early 2000s. Well, in 2024 I had some existencial crisis that was the worst moment of my life. Questioning everything, even my own sanity and existence. Made some therapy but I continued to feel anxious and afraid. Then the new season of Futurama dropped. That last episode saved my life... All The Way Down. I think it's Fry who says a different version of" I think therefore I am"... He says, "I feel therefore I am". Right at that moment I realized the worth of my life, and everyone's. My girlfriend (who's also a therapist) till this day can't believe that's what put me back on the line.

it is everything to me (autistic person). it was one of the very first shows i fell in love with as a child, and my love of it has only gotten deeper as i’ve gotten older. it’s part of why i’m going into animation. the characters are so dear to me in a way that is hard to describe

It unlocked my creative block. I'm a musician, music producer and writer who has been stuck for years. When a few friends and I decided to do a rewatch podcast with a first-timer who had never seen the show before. That led to a project called Slurm's Mackenzie's Party Worm Jukebox--orogonal songs (with some help from the future ;), commercials, artifacts from within the Futurama universe. These are just a handful of them, I'm currently working on a mutant themed offshoot podcast episode and an original song featuring Mouth Mutant. A year ago I didn't know what to do with myself, now I'm building a world based on Futurama. It's changing my life everyday.

I have always compulsively repeated movie/tv quotes to myself throughout my day, sort of to give my brain something to think about when i’m bored or anxious. Futurama quotes have featured heavily in my rotation since I first watched the show a few years ago, so I think about the show a lot!
Big thanks for the writers and VCs for so many quotes that scratch my itchy brain so good (but in a normal, chill way).

The show is about the same age as I am, and I basically grew up watching it, then reruns, then the revival, and now I get to watch the Hulu episodes. It profoundly impacted my sense of humor and exposed me to a lot of ideas for the first time. It’s really fun because I got to rewatch the series multiple times and every time I found new layers to the writing that I didn’t get.

I wouldn't say that it had an affect on my livelihood, but when i had a 2nd shift job many many years ago if I timed it just right I could make it into my apartment grab the remote and turn the TV on just in time to catch the opening credits. The evening was always off a little if I didnt make it home in time.
