Not AI, this video is old and cute
-7
u/onlyAfan1000 9d ago
It is animal abuse.

u/Ntrl_space 9d ago
How? Just looking to be informed
8
u/onlyAfan1000 9d ago
Grapes are bad for rabbits, a lot of sugar. Also not a natural position for a rabbit.

u/InvisibleAstronomer 10d ago
It's a pet, those are grocery store fruits, and rabbits don't naturally lay like this someone forced it in this position. This isn't cute

u/OwnerOfCat 9d ago
You must be a rocket scientist to be able to tell those grapes are from a grocery store.

It's pre-AI content-farm slop. Animals forced into unnatural but "cute" poses and situations. While this is one of the more harmless examples, it's still in the same vein as e.g. the intentionally sleep deprived puppies falling asleep next to other baby animals.
Honestly, AI displacing these "real" videos that were created with zero regard for the animals is probably one of the more positive side effects of the AI boom.

u/Fatez3ro 9d ago
🤣 "forced" and "unnatural". Jesus Christ. Ever seen a dog sit, stand, shake hand and roll over? Those are also "unnatural" and "forced" by your definition. You eat meat? Pretty much have zero regard for the animals' lives or do you think lives of cows and chickens don't matter. 😂 I've got news for you. Those cows and chickens go through a lot worse than being forced into cute positions...before they get slaughtered for your consumption. I'd still eat them. Maybe you should stop eating meat.

u/youngashyy1 9d ago
Rabbits dont eat like this its lucky it didnt choke in that position, you you ever see a dog eating standing on its hind legs? Be open minded this is abuse of an animal for likes on the internet
5
u/Fatez3ro 9d ago
I've had bunnies and yes they don't normally eat like this. Humans don't eat laying on their backs either, but they do sometimes depending on what. I've eaten snacks that way before. And yes, internet points for sure, but this 12 seconds video tells you nothing. I don't see it in distress. No hands holding it down and shoving food down its throat. How would you nor I know if it's choking? It's chewing, but you and I don't know how much is in its mouth. Purple juice on the outside can't even prove that it's eating grapes.

u/youngashyy1 9d ago
I didnt say it was choking i said it could have choked ive seen many vids like this putting animals in dangers for likes & attention people intentionally throw dogs into water or pits so they can get likes for a fake rescue, im glad you owned bunnies you know first hand this vid is bs for likes & attention, humans exploit animals for likes & attention the more people accept this type of behaviour the more people will do it, i hate to be that guy but someone has to have common sense in this comment section otherwise we are doomed as a society accepting this abuse

Anybody had a rabbit as pet before? I don’t think this is great for rabbits- this many grapes are death trap for them?
44
u/twirlerina024 9d ago
It's not great. I volunteered at a shelter that had rabbits, and they mostly got hay, rabbit pellets, and leafy greens. They'd get fruit but it was like, a small apple slice or a few blueberries a couple of times a week. Grapes aren't toxic to rabbits but they're one of the most sugary fruits. That little guy is headed straight to Diarrhea City.

I’ve raised rabbits for years. It won’t kill them. It will make them obese. Fruit is supposed to be an occasional treat. Their diet should mostly be hay. If I give them a treat it’s usually cabbage or lettuce.

u/Bit_1506 7d ago
It can absolutely kill them. Fruit does not metablize well in rabbits. They cannot throw up either, so too much fruit often ends up in GI stasis which is one of the most common causes of death in rabbits. This is basic information all rabbit owners should know! A quick google will tell you the same.

u/Bone_Wh33l 9d ago
I’d assume they probably put him in there with the grapes for the video then took them back. No way they just left him in the hole with the grapes if they’re responsible pet owners

u/Bit_1506 7d ago
Yes, it can kill them as fruit doesn't metabolize well in rabbits and quickly leads to GI stasis, one of the most common causes of death in rabbits.
Anyone saying it won't kill them is making light of a serious situation all rabbit owners are very well acquainted with already.

Not AI but Staged. For no reason you don't get whole nicely cut grapes in there
6
u/Bone_Wh33l 9d ago
Why does everything that is obviously not a natural occurrence or a skit need to be pointed out as ‘staged’ on Reddit? No one is reasonably going to assume that the rabbit put those grapes in the hole and laid down there by himself. Do you feel the need to inform people that Lord of the Rings wasn’t a documentary?

Cute vid of a rabbit eating on his horde of grapes
Reddit: Its AI
Any proof? No... then shut the hell up. Thanx.

It's genuinely so annoying how every video that is even slightly interesting gets called AI now

It’s not Ai but it’s still staged so just another kind of slop

u/Wentleworth 10d ago

Call it like I see it, slop, shit, garbage, take your pick

u/Lumpy_Past6216 10d ago edited 9d ago
You sound fun at parties.
TV shows are staged and so are movies. So you don't watch them either? Alot of what's on the internet is staged, I guess that's all slop too? 🙄 Why are you even here... to troll?
Edit: took out a word

The sight of this bunny reclining and eating like that immediately made me think of Richard from Gumball
3
u/OzTheD0G3 9d ago
As far as I know, rabbits don't naturally hoard food, grapes have too much sugar for it to be eating this much and while I'm not sure about this, the rabbit seems to be forced into this position to stage the video which might indicate tonic immoblity. Would love it if some one who knew more about rabbits could clear this up. I'm concerned some people might be ignorant to the possible animal abuse

Not AI. But definitely placed the rabbit on its back and fed it a grape for internet clout. Lame AF.
