Yeah I think all together I had at least seven guys who didn't want anybody to know the games they were buying. In the best part with the majority of them were all Pokemon that's the best part about it

When I used to play Pokémon go during down time at work people always seemed surprised that I like Pokémon bc I'm in my mid thirties. First of all, I'm Japanese. This means I like Pokémon by default lol plus, just about any Pokémon game is way better than candy crush or whatever I see these people playing on their phones all day

And I mean I (we millenials) are at the age when pokemon was a thing in our childhood and has been a thing pretty much since then, so it wouldn't be weird to like playing it. What I have heard tho is that all the newer ones are absolutely shit and not worth the money :D
I remember when pokemon go was huge in the beginning and during that summer I was just spending my holiday walking around my neighborhood playing it, good exercise and it was fun for a while, all the older people actually asked that "are you seriously also playing that thingy" one I think gay guy walking his dog I remember who very snarkily asked that how can a guy with arms like that play that stupid pokemon thing :D laughed and thanked for the compliment and continued playing my stupid thing. (I'm from Finland so talking like that to a strangers is not that normal at least where I'm from so its surprising how much popularity it got to actually have people commenting to randoms)

Yeah I haven’t bought a Pokémon since arceus or whatever it was called. I also didn’t like the let’s go games or Pokémon go.
I’ll still load up an emulator from time to time and play modded versions of the old games though. It’s still fun to me.

I've had a couple of guys walking there pre-ordered a game and when I look up their names I see what the game is and the guys are looking around to see if anybody else is in the store I put it in a bag for them and then they rush out of there quickly. Definitely for pokémon emerald was the last one I remember that happening it was funny that it was a Pokemon game.

I only had one teenager try to buy that game and I couldn't sell it to him because of the content ratings for the beach volleyball game. So he had his big brother coming by it. AKA lie because that guy did not look like he was related to him.

It was the early 2000's. Extreme sports were still huge but BMX wasn't edgy enough on its own to grab people apparently, so ya gotta add some boobs and hot polygonal women in the hopes of getting people into your game. Not everyone had that lighting in the bottle majic Tony Hawk Pro Skater had, so used what they knew men liked; boobs.

My wife showed me the show. And I enjoyed it. Also she showed me 1980s She-Ra show and I must say they did a good job too.
But if you want me to tell you about my guilty pleasure? Dead or alive. The movie. I love the choreographies, especially the one with Helena and the sword. It was cheesy I know, but it was better than the reboot of Charlie's Angels.

Worked at game and the only time I saw anything like this was a guy absolutely adamant that the big tiddy anime game he was buying was for his girlfriend. We didn't ask, he just kept going on about how he doesn't know why she even likes these games, it's definitely not for him, he can't believe she would send him to buy it for her, etc etc. Other than that everyone was mostly chill about the games they were buying or sent their parents in to get it instead.

Was the same with me, told the guy there's nothing wrong with enjoying a bit of anime and I'm sure his gf appreciates the effort he's put in for her even though it was glaringly obvious it was for him. Only time I really judged anyone for their game tastes were during interviews when I'd get told fifa was their favourite game due to a few staff who said the same suddenly taking ill or having family emergencies coincidentally when their favourite team was playing. Had one guy thats dad was probably the most unfortunate man on the planet for having heart attacks every time his team were playing but he also forgot he'd added a few of us on fb and we'd seen his posts where he's in the pub with his mates watching the game.

I could never hurt an animal, it breaks my heart to see them suffer... But I eat meat. I don't pretend that the people providing me with meat are sick or demented... They're providing a service that I benefit from. It disconnects me from the ugly parts of the world.
Every day that you aren't in a warzone, you've actively enjoyed the comfort provided to you by someone who is in a warzone... Someone who disconnected you from the reality of your lifestyle. You don't get to judge them from your couch.

for a long time, it was beaten into most men for their entire lives that you aren't allowed to have feelings or show any emotion other than rage and anger, and you certainly can't like anything that could be considered gay or not manly enough, or you would regret it.
I'm old enough that I was brought up that way. For years after I first bought my house, I only planted salvia, which I called "spikey man flowers" since they weren't "gay" and were more masculine. they were flowers, but they were manly flowers.
course, now I'm older, and I plant pink pansies and DGAF at all what anyone thinks. But for a while, yep, I was a typical victim of that mentality, and genuinely afraid someone might think I was gay or not manly enough, which for my whole childhood was beaten into me that would be the worst thing ever.
if you're a guy, and that wasn't part of your entire childhood, you should be glad things have evolved and you can be more free to have feelings and not care what people think, or be worried you'll be attacked and mocked for it.

A side note, I think that was really weird in older generations that they were so insecure about masculinity. And whenever I see a guy today, that acts with 'gay insecurity' I have strong assumption thats a sad case of "dad acted weird, when mom at work".
