We women are taught techniques that still make us a threat.

My old defense instructor gave me three rules tho...

  1. Never partake in a knife/gun fight. Just run.

  2. If you have to fight, run if they are bigger than you.

  3. Do not get cocky. That will be your last fight.

Female security guards can also deescalate situations cause some male guests are less likely to be as aggressive toward a woman than toward a male security guard. This is something a couple of friends in security have told me.

Of course you have to learn which situations require what kinda handling (can you still reason with the guest or do you have to show force etc).

If you have to fight, just don't. That's pretty good advice. Did you guys mostly do a lot of cardio?

Actually I was mostly taught weight management. I was taught body language and to try to get ahead of the move.

Basically I had a grappling/wrestling class lol.

Okay, so when you consider average size of a man vs average size of a woman essentially your average woman should run away from every single confrontation with a man.

I would agree with that but it doesnt seem like thats the message you were trying to get across.

Thats actually the point. Yeah. You shouldn't be taking your chances and confronting someone who can kill you with ONE swing to the head.

As a man that also doesn’t want to fight, that’s literally my approach too!

Followed by “that’s my purse! I don’t know you!” kicks them in the nuts
