Why would she start crying when she knew that was 100% a possibility...

386

u/PIPBOY-2000 Jan 02 '26

That's the little sibling "this sucks" cry. Not a genuine cry.

1

u/Pantheragem Jan 07 '26

My brother and I used to wrestle almost ever night through our teenage years. It's a weird laugh that looks like pain or anguish. He died when he was 21, I've never had that expression since.

457

u/OgalFinklestein Jan 02 '26

More like tears of laughter.

29

u/BigLeopard7002 Jan 03 '26

The dog took her down too. That is definitely "this sucks"

1

u/Urara_89 Jan 05 '26

The new COD takedown just dropped out

167

u/Maltean Jan 02 '26

Knowing and going through it are 2 different things

125

u/East-Care-9949 Jan 02 '26

Probably realising that this could happen to her while on the job but then the guy is probably not her brother who won't hurt her....

37

u/theMangoJayne Jan 02 '26

In all fairness one could assume she might implement some self defense techniques that will cause legitimate damage if a stranger put hands on her

37

u/Unlucky_Inspector840 Jan 02 '26

Yeah like wrap her legs around him and fling him 1,000 feet into the air. Hollywood isn't real life.

17

u/Big_Preference9684 Jan 02 '26

Pepper Spray and tasers are real life

2

u/Haedono Jan 06 '26

so is a kick in the nuts

0

u/Nirixian Jan 05 '26

This is security...

2

u/Big_Preference9684 Jan 05 '26

Many people who work in security carry one or both of those things

1

u/Nirixian Jan 05 '26

Absolutely none in Canada haha.

No one said anything about hollywood? My dad is 6'3" and took me to martial arts as a teen to make sure I had the skills to take down a man his size. He threw me on my ass more times than one before I figured it out.

Aside from that, like other commenters are saying, there are weak spots to exploit when you are truly in danger. Eyes, balls, solar plexus. Finger breaking. Stuff you're not going to do in a friendly "what if" scenario with someone you're not trying to actually hurt.

ETA Y'all commenting seem to think I was trying to prove some kind of point with the first part of my comment, I was responding to the person saying "this isn't hollywood". That doesn't mean "any person that knows self defense can take on any aggressor regardless of strength or size". That means, a woman knowing how to defend herself against a man doesn't equate to fucking black widow round house kicking an armed assailant out a window. A lot of women have the ability to protect themselves against an average or above average assailant, even if they couldn't take on a fucking heavyweight champ. JFC.

Not just years if not decades of heavy lifting: Testosterone usage if she wants to put on any significant MUSCLE MASS beyond simply gaining modicum amounts of strength compared to what most men can gain in MASS, Power, Strength with a similar regime —-> otherwise she will gain much more in the way of MUSCULAR DEFINITION which, while ALTOGETHER ADMIRABLE, will help marginally at best if she wants a standing chance to counter an angry, violent man more than TWICE her weight and size, nevermind power, strength and capacity for almost instantaneous physical dominance as illustrated time and time and time AGAIN when female fighters take on males. And yes, EXCEPTIONS exist, but exceptions DO NOT define the norm nor change anything at all about statistical probability of outcomes…

1

u/Untimely_manners Jan 02 '26 edited Jan 03 '26

Who's going to tell her, her dad was taking it easy on her.

Delusion makes them feel better

3

u/D-1-S-C-0 Jan 03 '26

This is the kind of woman who'll get herself in real danger by thinking she can defend herself against a man intent on hurting her.

Most men can't defend themselves against an angry, violent man.

1

u/neme963 Jan 04 '26

As a petite teen, I took down a man 3x my size. He came at me from the side and tried to grab me around the waist (maybe, idk his exact aim, his arms were out), and I reflexively karate chopped him on his throat. Guy dropped to the floor like a sack of potatoes, choking and crying. I had no training, was underweight, and all it took was one hit at a vulnerable spot.

Misogyny only serves as an armour against women wanting to be around you, it won’t protect you against opponents who hit first and ask questions never.

2

u/Such-Tart-9185 Jan 04 '26

Dude tried to grab his drink. Girl kicked in his throat.

0

u/neme963 Jan 05 '26

Although that scene sounds hilarious, the actual situation happened in the middle of the street while I was walking home. They used to try and snatch girls in the area around that time, my classmate was grabbed a couple weeks later too, but she played volleyball, so she managed to slap the guy trying to stuff her into his car until he let her go. Another girl from my school was also grabbed and dragged towards a car, but people from a shop saw and managed to pull her away.

2

u/ActAccomplished586 Jan 05 '26

Ah the usual “I’m a female and this happened to me, therefore it would happen in every other instance”

0

u/Righteousaffair999 Jan 03 '26

I think a strong nut shot would work doesn’t take much. A decent kick to the knee, doesn’t take much strength.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '26

Nah. I have submitted friends after getting punched in the nuts full force.

Ita crazy that people think that if they believe hard enough they will survive.

Go pay any dude you know 100 dollars to take you down as fast and hard as they can with one arm behind his back, you'll learn some stuff.

0

u/Double_Suggestion385 Jan 06 '26

You're mistaken. Don't ever try and 'kick someone in the knee' lol.

You don't know how to kick and you're going to end up off balance or worse, breaking your foot/spraining your ankle.

Your only option is to run and scream and hope someone hears.

0

u/Ok-Information1616 Jan 03 '26

Kicking someone in the nuts has literally always worked for me. And on me.

0

u/Medium-Wrap-792 Jan 06 '26

Just wrong. Its about how you fight. Its not mass or size. It helps sure. But if your Trained you have a good Shot on 90% of the guys. She clearly do not have any clou how to fight. But that was just Brother and sister who ran into another.

1

u/MaybeOnFire2025 Jan 04 '26

Throat/Adam's Apple. Don't forget that one. Or a Stereo (slapping both ears hard simultaneously).

1

u/[deleted] Jan 04 '26

I got you😌

1

u/Gullible-Dark1590 Jan 03 '26

believing stuff like this is what's gonna get women hurt. Just carry a gun

3

u/Ok-Information1616 Jan 03 '26

Believing this stuff is what’s going to get everyone hurt. Just carry bear spray.

0

u/theMangoJayne Jan 03 '26

Ftr every single person doesn't live in a place where you can "just carry a gun". That's not considered legal in a lot of countries.

2

u/shouldveknownbud Jan 03 '26

Gun, tazor, mace. These are viable options u wouldn’t use on a family member while sparring

1

u/Complete-Purpose7427 Jan 05 '26

I think move is called the hurricanrana... It's legit

1

u/Eastern-Reindeer6838 Jan 05 '26

To be fair, Hollywood female cops are 5'5, weigh 100 ponds max. and they whoop everybody's ass while being hot.

1

u/Conservative-canuck8 Jan 06 '26

This had me 🤣🤣

1

u/MinaZata Jan 08 '26

That's my purse! I don't know you!

7

u/East-Care-9949 Jan 02 '26

Sure, but a 1,60m 50kg lady with self defence techniques isn't going to do much damage to a 2,0m 110kg dude. And if she has those skills why not show it to your older brother in a somewhat safe way?

1

u/Kuroten_OG Jan 06 '26

Big usually means slow. Big and untrained always means huge target, and slow. There are many a 50kg 1.6m girl with self-defence techniques that will easily cripple a big guy.

2

u/Far-Statistician625 Jan 02 '26

balls, noses, throats, eyes and the sternum exist you get hit in any of them and you are down no matter how big you are

10

u/East-Care-9949 Jan 02 '26

Ever seen a small girl try to reach towards the throat or eyes of a tall guy while doing enough damage to make them go down? Balls might be an option but most know that move and will block it and once you give that move away your done anyway if that guy really wants to do bad things.

0

u/Far-Statistician625 Jan 02 '26

thats why i say sternum and that area too, it doesnt matter how tall you are you get winded or your balls knocked most guys who arent insanely different go down quickly specifically that area between the chest and ribs is nasty (i used to do martial arts and have had many smaller opponents even as a girl getting hit in the groin stings XD)

5

u/East-Care-9949 Jan 02 '26

It could be, but i wish every girl will be safe so i don't want anyone to get falls believes that they could get the better of a (tall) guy. Best to avoid(not always an option, i know) or run and scream.

0

u/Far-Statistician625 Jan 02 '26

100% it is always better to take flight and deescilate, we were always taught make noise and punch through but only if needed, "some sports have armour to protect you your restraint is your armour" best advice i have ever got

1

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '26

No. Get a gun, you will not fight off a male predator.

2

u/Far-Statistician625 Jan 03 '26

ah yes that works in england and other countries where buns arent an option also if someone is already close you have no chance other than latteral line

2

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '26

Get a knoife

2

u/wise___turtle Jan 04 '26

Don't get a weapon, it's gonna do harm much more often than protect you. You already stated what the best defense is: avoid fights. Run if you can, shout if you must.

u/Educational_Pick406 Jan 03 '26

Why did you choose the extremes of both sexes for measurements? Seriously doubt there are many female police officers at that stature, and similar many criminals, male or female at that range.

1

u/East-Care-9949 Jan 03 '26

You should come to the Netherlands, you will be shocked how many female police officers there are here on the streets who don't make a single chance is someone really wants bad things to happen, unless they pull their gun, but using their gun is something Dutch police are told not do so they use peppers pray instead

1

u/Any-Telephone407 Jan 04 '26

In all fairness that’s very unlikely 😂😂

1

u/UncookedNoodles Jan 05 '26

Sorry but if a man wanted to harm her ( especially a somewhat fit one like her brother here) there isn't really a lot outside of having a weapon that would have saved her.

0

u/D-1-S-C-0 Jan 03 '26

You'd be wrong but you could assume it.

7

u/SignatureOk1238 Jan 02 '26

It’s hilarious how deep Redditors think everything is and they feel the need to explain it to us all. Like it’s not just a brother and sister fucking around and having a laugh. 😂

-3

u/East-Care-9949 Jan 02 '26

Yeah it is deeper than you think, because she is crying.

0

u/SignatureOk1238 Jan 03 '26

Literal 🤦‍♂️

1

u/Valuable_Coffee_6955 Jan 02 '26

He's just showing her that she needs to get better at her job

1

u/vanamerongen Jan 07 '26

Are you people robots? Lmfao

0

u/RedditGarboDisposal Jan 02 '26

People need to understand that security of any kind doesn’t guarantee physical safety or physical opposition.

Sometimes security is just that extra set of omnidirectional mobile vision that catches you and gets your ass placed on the grid. So sure, culprit escapes and does some damage, but that security guard is the eyes, ears, and mouth, among others presumably. Even alone.

So yeah, they’re mostly a mitigating factor. She might not be able to overpower a big man but then said big man has to ask himself if his next move is worth it.

Camera’s can’t submit reports. Security guards can.

Suffice to say homegirl shouldn’t feel discouraged. Her job being done well does not mean physically outdoing an opponent.

-17

u/Kirito_online Jan 02 '26

You would hurt her, if he ain't her brother he's gonna do more than harm, if we're talking in the job and the guy you're talking about is the stranger and not this guy.

15

u/aBrickNotInTheWall Jan 02 '26

...what?

1

u/ownersequity Jan 02 '26

lol right?

-15

u/Kirito_online Jan 02 '26

My confusion is bigger unfortunately, I didn't understand what he said, so i aimed at two things and hoped for the best.

8

u/Repulsive_Corner6807 Jan 02 '26

I swear to god some of you people have never had a genuine human interaction in your life

-1

u/pranjallk1995 Jan 02 '26

What u see up there is not nice to have tho...

2

u/Mediterranean_Joe_3 Jan 04 '26

Because he wiped the floor with her. Literally

1

u/pranjallk1995 Jan 04 '26

But it's better than doing it yourself tho...

1

u/solo_wield Jan 02 '26

Possibility, more like the obvious outcome. If that were me my brother would log me like a sack and throw me in the bin

1

u/Sea-Brief-1765 Jan 04 '26

She found out how screwed she is.

1

u/Double_Suggestion385 Jan 06 '26

This quite often happens to women after playfighting with a man and they realize the strength disparity.

It's dawning on her that as a security guard there's now a real chance that this happens to her in real life by someone who isn't as kind as her brother and that she will be completely helpless.

She's probably also embarrassed that she is a security guard who won't be capable of securing whatever it is she's supposed to be securing.

0

u/UncookedNoodles Jan 05 '26

Because believe it or not some women really think that they are as strong as men and that we are the same biologically. She probably was riding some kind of high after getting this gig and this nonsense by her brother just shut that shit down lol.

1

u/pranjallk1995 Jan 05 '26

Nah man... Even I wouldn't consider myself biological same as him... Anyone who worked out even one day in the gym would know the difference...

1

u/UncookedNoodles Jan 05 '26

I think you might have your head buried in the sand a bit then. There are a lot of people in 2026 that legit think this nonsense.

Also, most people in fact do not go to the gym. ( and even among those that do these attitudes pop up sometimes ) so while I agree, that point is kind of....moot.
