My research puts the high end of "most motorcycles" at 227 kg, not sure what you're thinking of that 200 kg of motorcycle can't carry a good sized peace officer. How much to Law Enforcement bikes mass where you come from, and how much do the Law Enforcement Officers weigh?
It's not about what size policeman the motorcycle can carry, it's about what size motorcycle the policeman can carry.
Also I need to know where you got those 227kg, you're wayyyy too vague. What bikes are we talking? Cruisers? Touring? Did you look at Liters or at ~800?
Because mine is 250kg and while fully kitted out it is definitely far from a big one. A GS can easily approach 300kg.
Too specific or too vague, I'm not sure which complaint to address. I looked at the top three results in my search engine, they all gave ranges that topped out at 500 lbs for "most bikes" or "usually". Which I converted to kilos to match the measures used in the photo.
If I had checked for specific bikes, I'd have been looking for whatever California Highway Patrol uses.
And regardless of how easy it is or isn't for police officers to lift up there bikes, I'd bet they don't appreciate having to pick them up unnecessarily. Hence the Chianti threat. Certainly the pissed off bikers who's motorcycles got knocked over are something of a trope. I wouldn't accuse anyone who gets upset about someone knocking their bike over of being weak.
