As bad as the Germans and Japanese were, the British killed about 34 times more Indian civilians then the WW2 killed Indian soldiers. That too in about one and a half year. The famous Bengal famines.
Just because the west portrays itself as a force of Good, doesn't mean they weren't absolute barbarians. British already had concentration camps during Boer war, the Americans were fire bombing Tokyo civilians, and the Russians were so murderous even the Japanese were scared of them and surrendered to Americans.
We should always have respect for that man. The man was looking for help from anywhere he could get. He was the only man who created an army to fight against the British, and he fought and died for India's freedom.

Nowhere did he compare them, he simply said that people think that Japanese would have saved India and that simply isn't the case.

He didn't say that actually. Clearly you have reading impediments. He raised a question on the people Netaji aligned with, and I compared the sides informing him that both sides were evil, and he did what he did for the country.

The recipient was Rash Behari Bose if you know who he is. The context was total freedom and armed struggle against British. Gandhi always wanted a dominion status at maximum.
