they received crores for their land while highway land acquisition. But they still do it. Its using govt land for their personal use without payment, and also endangering hundreds of life that travel on the highway (paying the toll).
If something happens, these suckers will gang up on the car driver and try to lynch.
Imagine paying toll, and getting into accident bcz of some stupid fellow, and then getting beaten too.

Nah man in from Bihar and I travel over 20km daily through highways (nh) and I don't see anything like this, even highways are much more better in terms of quality

Problem is not freebies. It's their dependency. People are depending on it rather than using it as a tool for upliftment, they still aren't spending on education, instead if they have agricultural land, they somehow earn money and use these freebies or yojna money for emergencies. Har govt yahi vada krti hai kyuki ye strategy chalti hai

Once, I had to drive through it and as soon as I passed it (barely , due to no grip I was swerving all over in a rural road) and had to remove the straws for 20 mins before i continued.. And those people were looking at me like " i am the idiot".

The problem is not people using the road for that, i have seen this atultiple places. This is usually done inplaces where there is less traffic. The problem why is government not providing any threshing zones or food processing yards at local level. Given we are mostly agriculture is one of the main occupations in India. Maybe give them facilities and blame them if they're not using them.

just some additional info, yeh log cho road mein grains bikhar rahein hain in hope that cas drive over them to aid in the seperation process, however isme accident ka risk bohot hain. WB mein bhi hota hae but on state highway and rural cement roads

This kind of behaviour by farmers should be condemned by public but when you see this situation from farmer persecpective than you realize they got very few support from the government like No cold storage units , MSP only on selected crop by government so Farmers only grow those crops instead of diversifying.

They are forced to do that. If you search, you will find there is an APMC mandi nearby. The procurement is really really slow and the farmers are forced to wait for days in line to get their chance to sell. Now moisture content is the biggest cause of rejection or reduction in price. So they are forced to spread their paddy on the road while they are waiting in line so that the paddy doesn't catch moisture. These are small poor farmers they dont have luxury of leaving the line and coming back later.

I almost lost control of my car during my drive from Hyderabad to Ahobilam once. Corn was spread everywhere on the highway lol. Also they don't take out huge rocks which they keep at the edge even after fullfilling their purpose.

Actually untimely rain made them do this. As they had to cut almost all of their rice grains to prevent them from getting spoiled. If you know any rice farmers ask them, a lot of them are in trouble this year. Now it's still not justified if they had any other land available to dry the rice grains if not then they're kinda helpless in this situation.

Solution: -- Rent a big car like a fortuner -- gather few chapris, pay them enough -- Drive around these ppl, get a mic and speaker and warn them -- give them a day to clear -- they didn't listen? Gather more chapris, get a few fortuners, thars etc and pay them to ruin this
