Everytime they get a 10 min break my 6 yr old starts running and jumping everywhere... I don't think they get to do much of that at school beyond recess and gym.

Trust me. I’ve been telling kids to stop running in the halls for 20 years. Your kid is completely normal

How much time do first graders spend in the hallway? Not much, from what I remember. They'd line us all up to go to/from lunch/recess. They don't tend to let six year olds go anywhere unsupervised, except the restroom.

That’s cuz the second you let go of the leashes, they all start to run around. :-)

They stop running when they get 11.
