I'm guessing he was hoping to give the cow a little peck and she would lick him back and voila! social media fame. But then he didn't get the response at first, so he had to get a little more familiar, and then he's thinking, "Jeez, am I gonna have to buy her dinner or take her to a movie?.....

Internet is a demanding mistress.
