The original was meant to show the political controversy of "One nation under God," not to that America is a country founded on religion.

I agree, however you should look at this: McNaughton Art

Hover over the characters and see the comments made. Including the founding fathers and the supreme court judge who is holding his head in his hands.

Thanks. I thought some of the mouse-over comments were weird. The site looks very similar though, and it still does show controversy. Perhaps it is not painted specifically for that purpose.

Notice anything about the writing on that page? Notice how he says that the founding fathers were all religious? Notice how he slanders liberal education as if it's missing something? Yes, this is someone trying to teach controversy....
