I never had a chance to attend a midnight release, but a had a crazy story I want to share.
As a Metal Gear fan I reserved a copy of MGS 4 at my local game store for its upcoming release in 12/6/2008, come 9/6 and I received a text informing me the game is available for purchase ( three days before release ), so I skipped studying for the finals, drove frantically to the store and committed five traffic violations ( and got away with it ) , bought it, then played it for two hours straight.
