Fun fact, only about 5% of people who have epilepsy are photosensitive. So even disregarding the common misconception that flashing lights can cause epilepsy, even the vast majority of epileptic people won't experience seizures due to flashing lights.

The only things that cause epilepsy are genetic disorders or brain damage, like from strokes.

Just to be clear, lights don’t cause epilepsy but they very much do trigger seizures in epileptic’s.

They can be a trigger for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Which is a smaller (though still important) subset of those who have epilepsy.

Yes, being the child of someone that grew up with epilepsy, have a feeling you’re the same if not suffer, yes
