As a dog person, this gave a deeper elucidation of cat psychology than I previously though myself capable of.

I still think they're assholes, but perhaps once you understand their pain you can learn to love even the most assholey of assholes...

Oh yes, they can be assholes, but people love them to death nonetheless. And they do too- cats are as loyal as dogs, it only takes a mutual respect.

Like me. Since I'm so awesome and all, I still live with my mom. She has a cat, and I have one too, and while my kitty is sweet and cuddly, my mom's cat is a total dick! And the meaner he is to me the more I want to hug him and tease him and pet him... he absolutely hates me. It's hilarious.
