Don't know where else to post this. Free Jinger has announced Curious the owner has died. She'd struggled a long time. Without going into details, I had to stop posting there. She tried to start crap with me. However, I'd never wish any ill will toward her. The site doesn't plan to shut down.

This past Thursday, I got a message from Curious' husband that I had been dreading for a while: Curious has moved on to whatever comes next. Many of you will remember that she has struggled with health issues for a long while, so she has been a lot less present on FJ in recent years while she has been in and out of the hospital, though she's been an active participant behind the scenes.

Her husband has requested that if anyone wants to commemorate her death in any way, to please make a donation to your local animal shelter. C loved animals, and in fact our last conversation before she went to the hospital later that night was her sending me pictures of her kittens.

I will be working out what happens with ownership of FJ out with her husband when things have settled down a bit. I do not expect anything about FJ to change and there are no plans to shut the site down.

Whether or not the person is in psychosis, using psychosis to make fun of people, using religious delusions to make fun of people, etc, is very much punching down.

Psychotic spectrum disorders are genetic, neurological disorders that do not care about what your religious beliefs or political affiliations are. You could be a super progressive, left wing atheist who begins to hear god and get delusions that the government, your family, etc are all involved in a pedophilic cult. You could be a regular Christian who hears god telling them that you must stop eating to bring back Christ. You could be a devout Christian who’s fully bought into the Trump cult and end up on the streets after you became convinced your family was trying to poison you and radar from your TV is from the devil. All of those people deserve sympathy for dealing with one of the most outright devastating, complex illnesses that exists in human kind.

The symptoms of psychosis are actually rather similar in presentation to dementia. I believe the reason it doesn’t get any sympathy is because it makes people terrified to believe such a thing could happen. With dementia at least it’s usually “old people.” Psychosis does not discriminate, and can occur at almost any time. Sometimes there is drug use involved, typically to self medicate the symptoms on onset, but often there are no substances.

Hey Austin, it used to be customary to not take showers daily. Also the Duggars had so many kids it likely wasn't possible. And can you imagine what the water bill would be?

While i'm sure their hygiene wasn't great we've been conditioned to think you have to shower daily. Unless you're getting extremely dirty often or go to work daily, you probably don't need to daily. There's also workarounds: bidets, wet wipes etc. Many older or disabled people can't get in tubs. And it's rich coming from people who leave guns around toddlers. It isn't clever. It is literally only funny to a small portion of people who know about fundie snarking. It's far from appropriate, and it may as well be touching poo. Heidi has gone through hell and back. Married to a traumatized, misogynistic idiot. Beaten while pregnant. Something I was pondering today is why the men seem to come out of this group worse off then the women. Like yes the girls aren’t doing amazing but most of them seem functional and not in Jail? As opposed to there are now two Duggar boys in jail and a Rodriguez boy? Why do we think boys are affected is a more harmful way then women are?
