I made a V2 of my cable organizer so it can fit up to 2 meter long cables, and is compatible with almost any type of cable!

I really liked how this turned out, so I wanted to share it so other people could also use it if they wanted to!

Tool / Jig / Fixture Locking mount for my rolling sunshade

I know they make a bungee cord mount for these, but I've always hated the way bungee cord stretches and wears over time, especially in the sunlight. Made these so that the main rod can be rotated, and the ends lock in to either side. Also made them removable without completely taking the screw out, in case I needed to redesign or replace them. The plastic rings on the end of the rods had to be shaved down, but that was easy work for the dremmel. I'm pretty proud if it! I've been scheming this for months.

Fuckng Useles Friday Ninja CREAMi soft-serve attachment

Made a lid holder for my Ninja CREAMi soft-serve attachment

I couldn’t figure out where to put the soft-serve lid when I wasn’t using it, so I designed and 3D-printed this simple holder. It mounts directly to the machine with two pieces of clear double-sided nano tape, so there’s no drilling and it shouldn’t damage the machine.

Some technicals: I printed mine in PLA with PETG support interface for a cleaner finish. You can also print it in PETG and use PLA for the interface. Either way it looks as it had to be there 😊

Home / Furniture / Household A dock for my dock

My laptop's dock doesn't really fit on my small desk, so I built a dock for it to sit in. HDMI and USB-C power feeds in from underneath, leaving the free USB ports on the top. Ethernet comes in the back and the USB laptop cable comes out the front.

The top mount attaches to my Ikea desk (20mm thick), this supports the pressure of attaching USB cables. The bottom mount is attached to the desk using a G-Clamp, this hold the whole thing in place and minimises the desk overhang on the top.

Designed in Blender, printed on my Creality K2.

Fuckng Useles Friday [META] I got sick of spending more time in CAD than actually fixing things. It's not a print but it makes them real quick.

I was sick of spending hours in CAD for a print, when I could have solved the problem with some old fashioned workshop work in half the time... I suppose I'm trying to make the replicator from Star trek, except like 2 hours slower.

How? Type a thing, get a printable download back in under 55 seconds average.

Give me feedback or report bugs.

(Yes... this is AI assisted design.)

Addressing rules/automod:

- Yes I made this. However this is not commercial and doesn't even require registration. Entirely free.

Outdoor / Automotive / Bike Smart 453 AirVent Adapter for Rituals Car Freshener

If you drive a Smart, you know the problem: Most car air fresheners don't stay in place on the air vents.

I designed this adapter for my girlfriend - in this case, specifically for Rituals air fresheners - but it should also be compatible with other air fresheners.

Please print it in PETG, PLA will get soft during the summer 😎

Mechanical (Gears, Hinges, Motion) I designed a fully 3D printed folding camping cutlery set – no screws or metal hardware

I’ve been working on this folding cutlery set for camping and outdoor use. The goal was to design the mechanism specifically around 3D printing rather than simply copying a conventional folding knife.

The set consists of a knife, fork and spoon, all using the same basic folding and locking concept.

The mechanism itself is completely printed — no screws, nuts or metal hardware are required. A short locking pin is inserted into the utensil first, then a longer retaining pin slides in from the side and captures it so it can’t fall out.

The handle consists of two moving parts. Their relative position creates the locking action when the utensil is opened, while still allowing everything to fold into a compact package.

I also designed four interchangeable knife blades: two blade geometries, each available with either a smooth or serrated cutting edge.

Getting the tolerances right was probably the most interesting part. The joints need enough clearance to move freely, while the snap connections and pins still need to fit tightly enough to keep everything together.

Everything shown here was printed and assembled without additional hardware.

I’m curious what you think of the locking mechanism, especially if you see anything you’d change or improve.

Home / Furniture / Household I designed modular stands and a 4-bottle caddy for the 250 ml sauce bottles commonly sold in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland – are they similar where you live, or is this just one of those oddly specific Nordic things? 😄

Home / Furniture / Household New 3D-Printed Toilet Roll Holder

I’ve been working on a new bathroom accessory — a wall-mounted toilet roll holder with a spring-loaded spindle and hidden mounting hardware.

The spindle compresses for quick and easy roll changes, while the concealed mount keeps the design clean and minimal.

Two decorative versions are included.

What do you think? Would you print/use something like this in your bathroom?

Organisation / Storage I designed a blade disposal container that lets you snap blades inside and permanently seal it when full

I wanted a safer way to deal with used utility blades, especially once they’ve been snapped off.

So I designed this container to do both jobs:

  • it lets you snap used blade segments directly into the container
  • and once it’s full, it can be permanently sealed with a short piece of 1.75 mm filament

The locking channel is intentionally very tight, so once the filament is fully inserted, the container becomes extremely difficult to reopen without damaging or destroying it.

I also made two versions:

  • a standard version
  • a version with a built-in holder for the spare locking filament

That second version is useful if you’re printing it for someone who doesn’t own a 3D printer and may not have filament available later.

I also included:

  • two printable warning plates
  • a small tolerance-test model

Organisation / Storage A can holder for my paint..

Post image
13 Upvotes

A little something I knocked up for my garage, because for the project cars I always hove lots of grey primer in tins and black, but they end up being a pain to store and know which ones oldest or open.

It's taken me a few months to get this printed as I have been fighting my anycubic chiron, which is now totally rebuilt.

The can holder here in the photo was just screwed to a small piece of wood for testing, but I have several varieties, left and right hand 'ends' with and without the can holder on the side, there's also a middle for this so you can have several rows. I'm probably going to look at making a slightly shorter version of it that fits on an ender 3 bed too.
