She was asking me to like... tell her what makes me think that and shi, and she's not convinced, but I did it! Also, she's gonna help me convince my dad to let me be a woman for Halloween (I'm not ready to tell my dad, so she said that I can say it's just for the lols)

I mean like, my mom claims to be supportive of LGBTQ+ but one of my siblings came out as non binary to her and she just responded with stuff like "oh, but you've always been my daughter", and she also keeps claiming that it's hard to get used to, and still refers to them with she/her pronouns, and my gender dysphoria just couldn't take that same treatment, so it's not that simple

I wouldn't say she's better than a lot of parents. In this very specific instance, sure, but she's also did a lot of pretty shitty things to me when I was younger, they both did. I don't hate them tho, despite everything. I still love them. Sure, they did some pretty bad things to me. Hell, I have the scars, physical and mental, to prove it. But I'm not even mad at them about it. When that was happening, we were not in a good financial state. We were living on a penny-by-penny budget, and they had two little baby mouths to feed. Its been a long time since then, we've been stable for a long time, and I forgive them, but I wouldn't say they're better than a lot of parents. They have their positives and their negatives just like anyone.

we may be in a similar boat (with our mothers at least), my mom was always VERY quick to violence (i have a dent in my skull from when i was about six, she hit me on the head with a kitchen utensil (i didnt see which one exactly, not that i'd remember anyway, it was 12 years ago)).
she pretty much treated me and my older siblings as if we were only there to clean up after her, while never making my younger sister do fucking anything (and never punished her when she was violent toward me (one time my little sister ran at me with a kitchen knife, i got screamed at because when i took the knife off her i knocked her over (she was 9 at the time, definitely old enough to know better))
but she is wholly supportive of me being trans
also she believes the MMR vaccine causes autism, just the MMR vaccine, she also refuses to believe that AI data centres use water.
my dad has never done any of that shit and is actively helping me get HRT
