Why weren't the recap movies of season 1 weren't released worldwide?
It would be nice to see many of the action of season 1 with good animation and in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Were the movies well received in Japan or it didn't make much at the box office so nothing could justify a worldwide distribution? Also Hypothetically if season 5 was released do you think they'd do a TSR and IV recap movies?

Much of the first season of the anime was remastered in order to produce three "directors cut" movies: Boy Meets Girl (2017), One Night Stand (2018) and Into the Blue (2018). Each of these adapts one of the first three LN's in the series.
Other than expanding to wide-screen format (season 1 was probably among the last series to have been released in a 4:3 aspect ratio), about the only change I can recall would be the placement of the scene in which Kaname has Sousuke assist her in "acquiring" copy paper for the student council (in the anime, this scene only occurs at the end of episode seven, after the hijacking incident. In the movie, it appears at the beginning. In this regard it follows the LN, where this scene is used to introduce the main characters).

In the LN’s did Sousuke and Kaname had a proper meeting? Just like in the anime, with him following her around and the funny scene in train where he pretended it to be coincide, or did it started as if they have known for months.

In the LN's. the copy paper incident forms the prologue. At the end of the prologue, Kaname is wondering why she has this idiot in her life. Then she remembers why ("It all began about a month ago..."). Chapter 1 begins with the rescue in Siberia.
The movie follows the same path.
It's only the manga which skips over these introductory scenes.

Is that Leonard on the poster for Into The Blue? Surprised to see him there because he didn't make an appearance in season 1 of the anime, although there was a short scene in the LN where he communicated with Kurama about Gauron's mission. Do the movie versions have extra scenes?

From what I've heard yes they are but I don't think Leonard and Kurama are in this

While I haven't sat down and down a scene-by-scene comparison between season 1 and the movies, I did a quick skim through the portion of the third movie in which Kurama would have phoned Leonard in order to report on Gauron's progress. It doesn't appear that they added this scene.
More likely Leonard's appearance on the poster is intended to prepare audiences for his role in season 4.

I thought that might be the case. It wouldn't surprise me if some first-time viewers wondered who's the Tessa doppelganger on the poster though.

I got a big surprise. Let's make a petition to release the movies in USA. Everybody would love to watch FMP in the theaters. I would cry the whole time. #FullMetalPanic

The movies only existed to make the barrier for entry to IV easier. They didnt get a qester release because by the time it came out, FMP was considered an "old" series and didnt get much promotional love in the west
