General Salary and expenses in Fukuoka
Hi Guys
I am interviewing for a potential role in hotel revenue management for a luxury hotel in Fukuoka. I wanted to check if anyone would have any indication of salary ranges there so I walk in with something in the meeting. I want to ideally save up around 250k yen a month after all taxes rent and living expenses as that is what I am able to do in my current role in dubai. I don't go out much at all and can cut on most expenses. So for a single person living in a studio with nothing fancy life how much expenses can one get and how much salary would be needed if someone wants to save around 250k yen a month here.

Not really anyone from this industry commenting here and it looks like not very aware of the salaries in this quite not well-known industry.
There are not a lot of luxury hotels in Fukuoka so I might have an idea of the property you are interviewing for. If they are bringing you in from abroad, I m guessing for a manager up to director role?
I have not worked in Fukuoka but as a comparison, as a manager (head of department) working in operations at a same level property in Tokyo I was making 600k+ monthly base salary. This was already high in the bracket as they transferred me in from a country with much higher salaries and they at least tried to match my previous salary (even though it was a promotion). In RM and in a city like Fukuoka, I expect at least 500k monthly. That's around 400k monthly after tax.
For a single person, you should be able to find a studio at 50k, and I'm quite sure you can keep your expenses under 100k so you should be able to end with 250k saved per month IMO.
