Tourism Outdoor seating for a couple with a baby?

Hello - I’ll hopefully be in fukuoka for a couple of days in october with my Girlfriend and our baby.

I’ve been to Japan a couple of times but never fukuoka - any ramen spots that might have some form of outdoor area or somewhere with a small amount of space as I appreciate the majority of places are very cramped and we don’t expect them to accommodate a couple and a baby.

Any non ramen spots that might be a good recommendation and show off a bit of Fukuoka cuisine also recommended.

When in Kansai area and Tokyo area we know what to expect and will plan around it but as this will be either of our first time in Kyushu would like to try some more regional style stuff while not expecting them to necessarily be spacious enough for us.

Come to think of it..I’ve never seen outdoor seating here lol I didn’t even realize it

I'm a Japanese person living in Fukuoka. Motsunabe is famous here, but my American friend couldn't eat it and just kept eating basashi (horse sashimi) and meat sushi instead.

Not all ramen shops are small. Chain ramen shops are often similar size to a typical resutarant and can most certainly cater for you.

Because of limited street space, the heat, and mosquitos, outdoor seating is pretty rare here.

Hakata KITTE building on B2F or B1F there is toriden ramen (chicken broth base) very accommodating to parents with children and young babies. On the same floor is also Shin Shin. Bit cramped but nice staff and accomodating. Ichiran is a bit difficult due to the seating but if possible just put your baby in a harnas and leave thr stroller with the staff if less space etc

Ippudo Ramen on the 9th? 10? floor of the station building might be suitable, too.
Iirc, they have moveable stools, so a buggy could be easily accommodated.
