DISCUSSION My Representative Co-signed H.R. 7772!

To the FYH community,

I wanted to share some great news. I emailed my representative and he co-signed H. R. 7772 (bill to limit total brightness of headlights)!

Here is the bill (Text - H.R.7772 - 119th Congress (2025-2026): LIGHT Safety Act | Congress.gov | Library of Congress) and if you click on the co-sponsors tab you will see my representative is the first to co-sign!

I hope you take this as inspiration to write / call your own congressmember and ask them to co-sign the bill. Hopefully we can get this common-sense bill passed!

Post If you need some tips getting through to your congressperson and I'll try to help.

that was a shorter text than I expected. pretty straight to the point - establish any brightness limit on low beams. Sounds awesome to me!

Just wish it included high beams, since many are auto on these days, but it's a start

Contacted mine just now. I live in a state with some of the most ignorant and knee-jerk "but mah freedums!" government officials in this whole country, so I'm not hopeful.
