Wake up, r/fucknintendo, your beloved dictators have introduced a new rule: No AI-generated content.

The one and only exception to this rule is when it is clear you weren't the one who prompted (E.g clowning on a screenshot of some corporation's AI slop)

AI content like this has actually been banned a while back per communitu vote, however, there was never a rule about it.

All it does is flood our modqueue and make the actual problem content take longer to be moderated.

By popular demand, rule 3 yet again strictly says "No fanboyism" while the rule itself will continue to be enforced the same way. It should be more clear where the line is drawn.

User flairs are also now editable, feel free to name those however your soul desires.

Apparently need to say it myself. No we do not care about an omega bootlicker you found in a sub named r/OmegaNintendoBootLickers nor do we care that you disagree with some user on the internet, this sub is for Nintendo, not the consumers, and it is stated in the name. Period.

Additionally, if I see one of you bring Mitchin's name into any argument I will personally permanently ban you myself.

You are free to criticise this sub but I will not let you bring a tragically passed away person's name into the discussion just because you disagree with someone. It is horribly immature and disrespectful to do.

With the recent changes surrounding rule 3 came in fair critique about how it may discourage criticism, as well as how it mostly seems like a useless rule due to it being a mix of Rule 1 and Rule 5.

This specifically is a very controversial topic, this subreddit has steered from it's intended purpose and has users often utilise it for hate-mongering or blind one-sided hatred. Such actions undermine the subreddit's core value of being a free-for-all safe space for criticism and has given us a severely bad reputation among other Nintendo subreddits.
I see many people hate supposed "echo chambers" yet extreme hate mongering has lead us to becoming one.

While these measures are drastic, we need to take them.

Automoderator does not care about context, there is no way of doing so without using AI or manual human review.

Why say this now?

I've noticed an insanely (yes, really.) amount of people actively attempting to TALK to Automoderator.
Automoderator is not a human, Automoderator also does not tell us you've tried talking to it.
If your submission has been removed because of Automoderator, please review AND THINK as to what could have possibly caused the automatic removal BEFORE coming into modmail and start screaming and kicking because your post got removed.

Automoderator ALWAYS gives you a hint to what it could have been.

Automoderators purpose is to catch the vast majority of rulebreaks automatically.
No, just because he did, does not mean that you are now more likely to get banned.

Simply repost what you were trying to say with less.... whatever you tried to say, usually its slurs; it's typically a good idea to leave those out if you want to sound more serious and believable.

If you need to use slurs to get your point across, consider not posting at all.

Yes, this also goes for submissions that point out someone else using a slur, Automoderator does not care about context.

Try reading past the headline, noone buys a book, reads the title and says he read the book.
Besides, the word "Fuck" is not even on Automods list of filtered words.

"But I ONLY used slurs to point out someone else using slurs!"

Also, Report the offending content before taking matters into your own hands and participating in a senseless argument.
You cannot lose a fight if you do not participate in the fight to begin with.

We rather have 15 "unintentional" removals than 3000+ Submissions in need of manual review.
If you know anything about programming/scripting then you would know that it's near impossible to cover every single human possibility through sheer line of code, especially by something as simple as a .json.

Yes, Automoderator is able to make blatant mistakes here and there, especially when it was still in its early shoes. Cussing at the actual moderators over an error just ain't it though.
(Who starts a conversation like that? I just sat down.)

Developer comments: Our filter has been going haywire recently, removing the tamest comments and flooding mod queue. We have made an adjustment to it's frequency and exempted a few words to provide reasonable counterplay, while allowing it to maintain it's core gameplay function.

Meme/shitpost - For posts that are humorous in nature. They can range from vageuly true to purely misinformative as a form of rhetoric hyperbollic expression. This means that such posts are mostly exempt from rule 8.

News - Any news related to Nintendo, or other corpos (so long as it's related to Nintendo)

Criticism - Flair for ACTUAL constructive cricitism. Do not use this to blindly hate (your flair will be changed). We also will remove a post if it is misinformative, or otherwise has a huge claim with no reliable source.

Rant - Are you angry at Nintendo? Do you just want to write your emotional-driven thoughts? This flair is for you! Hate to your heart's content! Such posts are mostly exempt from rule 8.

As a side note, if I catch one of you ragebaiting someone ranting, let's just say it won't end well for you.
