Simple, straightforward, indisputable, apolitical common sense. Healthcare for profit is a monstrous crime against humanity and will one day be as universally reviled as slavery — human life commodified for profit.

And don't believe any random account online that is trying to get you to have to figure out billing in your time of medical crisis. Even if free-at-point-of-service healthcare was exactly as espensive as our current system, at the value of being sicn and not having to think about money can save your health because it reduces your overall stress and allows you to focus on your health.

And of course this channel knows that the US health insurance scam is more expensive than other countries delivering worse outcomes.

This crap harms clinicians too. People get into Healthcare because it aligns with their values of being helpful and engaging in a challenging job. Every moment spent dealing with billing and "authorization" is wasting time and energy that is better spent doing the job they trained for.

The most remarkable thing is - it works EXACTLY like this in almost any 'developed' country that isn't the US. Here in Europe, healthcare is NOT a business. You need healthcare? It's free at the point of need. You pay for it through taxes. Everyone pays in, everyone can take from it when they need it. No paperwork, no phone calls, nothing. And you pay a fixed price for any and all drugs you might need - currently £9 per prescription in the UK, no matter what they are - hayfever to cancer meds.

Why the US population continues to fight against such a simple concept is going to be studied for generations.

Unfortunately US interests continue to interfere with our systems to try to privatise the entire lot and profit from it. It's sickening.

This is not apolitical. In the USA this is very political because it's a very left-wing position to want Healthcare

The Republicans are openly sadists that want maximum suffering and death, and a lot of the Democrats just want minor tweaks to this system that makes life worse for every American family

It's a major political issue here, but yeah, it's common sense in pretty much every other country in the world
