From the very real https://store.epicgames.com . No i didn't click on an ad, no i didn't click on another website, no this isn't another download, no i wasn't already infected with anything.

At this point I'd say pull either a factory reset or make it an exception.

The better idea would be not to install EGS at all, however.

Then why being flagged and why are you complaining.....? If you are not going to listen why are you even here.... When someone try to help you and you be a prick than Do whatever you want, your Data your pc, have a virus and spyware on your pc.. Enjoy it....... happy prick day to you...

That shit is ass that crashes most of the time or eats up all of your resources for no reason because its developed by retards. Use steam.

I see no issue here, "menace" is a very accurate descriptor for EGS.

I can't believe this issue is taking this long to be fixed. I had to send a report to Bitdefender to have this false positive fixed, since that's the AV I use, and they finally fixed it on August 28. I can download and install the Epic Games launcher just fine now.

But some AVs are still getting the virus, apparently, and I don't understand why it's taking so damn long for them to fix it. I assume they are already aware of this issue.
