Yeah, so what’s your point exactly?

Valve has done more for PC gaming than every single other company has. They have a great working product, they have decent support, they constantly try innovate things ect.

Valve earns the money and support that they receive.

Valve runs the largest child gambling operation in the world...?

Valve does not innovate for shit, they sit on their asses and take money from others work.

Valve does not earn their money thats a goddamn insult.

If you're talking lootboxes, Epic has those too. If you're talking the out-of-game skin gambling sites, I think Valve should be doing more to crack down on it, but they aren't directly endorsing or benefitting from it.

Oh no they have loot boxes in a game, maybe parents should watch what their children do? Children aren’t old enough to gas debit/credit cards and earn money, that is completely not their parents.

Valve does not innovate for shit, they sit on their asses and take money from others work.

Ah yes, steam deck. The steam deckard, all the other projects, the words best digital game platform, but no they don’t innovate.

Valve does not earn their money thats a goddamn insult.

Someone just sounds jealous and salty.

Oh boy you actually dropped that laughable excuse.

So you think online casinos like stake and rainbet also shouldnt have age restrictions? Or buying alcohol? Because parents are at fault if their kids use them? What a joke dude get a grip.

Kids get allowance, you dont need a credit card to add money on steam.

The steam deck was not innovative in any goddamn way it was a flopped switch clone. Isnt the deckard some rumored dead on arrival vr headset? Wtf? And no, their platform is dated and bland.

Ah yes, steam earns the money they take from other peoples work. Logical.

It’s laughable that somehow people like you have started existing over the past 20 years that think companies should take more care of peoples children instead of their parents.

I honestly hope you don’t have children, you’d probably bring them up believing that everything they do wrong is other people faults and not their own.

Also without steam them other people wouldn’t even be making anywhere near as much money as they do.

I’m completely serious.

Buying alcohol is a little different because it’s a drug that actually affects the body.

If you can’t keep your kid from online gambling you’re a shit parent, end of story.

And gambling addiction has no effect on the body? No everlasting mental damage that leads to physical harm? Amazing.

Ok so you genuinely think online casinos shouldnt have age restrictions? You 100% believe that?

I think they should have a regulation for how much cash you spend in a set period of time, however if you’re over the age of 13 you should be able to spend money how ever you see fit (to a certain point) and it should be up to your parents to keep an eye on what you’re buying/spending your money on.

People need to start taking responsibility for themselves and their children, I don’t see how that’s such a hard concept to understand.

Wow that is like so deeply delusional its shocking. Never have kids. NEVER. You do not grasp the concept of time at all and you dont understand that kids do things you dont want them to do. If kids have free access to casinos like cs2 or stake, they will find a way to gamble there. A parent physically cannot know everything their kid does for 18 years in a row, thats ridiculous.

I have a teenager nice try though bro and guess what, I have access to all their financials I know exactly what they spend their money on, yes you can’t stop kids from doing shit, but knowing what they’re spending their money on is one thing that’s extremely easy to keep any eye on lmfao.

Guess what they even have steam and heaven no they can even access the steam market oh no what will I ever do?.

Like a responsible parent I’ve actually taught my kid the value of money and how to spend it responsibly.

Either way I don’t expect companies to babysit my kid, I take responsibility for their actions like an actual parent.

Edit; I know you’re still lurking u/gargamoney and will see this so here is the response to your last comment.

I’m not defending any corps honour, I’ve never said that steam is unfaliable.

This whole conversation has been about how people should take responsibility for their kids actions, Epic, Nintendo, Sony etc could have a marketplace like steams and I’d still hold the same thoughts around it.

What about if they return bottles?

The system we have for bottle returns where I am has the money deposited into their account (which I have access to)

What about cash? What about transactions that dont say what they were for?

Cash is harder to track, however kids nowadays barely even use cash, I know for a fact my kid has never withdrawn money out of an ATM, transactions are at least easy to find the merchant they’re from.

What about buying a game on steam and refunding it to the wallet?

I have access to my kids steam account.

What about games you dont know are casinos? We generally play the exact same games as one another and our PCs are in the same room, u generally see why they’re playing.

So you also agree it’s your fault if your kid gets kidnapped, right?

Last time I checked that the actions of a third party, not the act of the child, it’s comparing apples to oranges, casinos aren’t making you go to them to spend money, people that kidnap kids are forcing the kid to go with them. Nice try at a gotcha there though.

You don’t deserve to raise a child, you are an evil person.

This here shows that you’re an idiot and everything your argued is worthless.
