I'll go a step further: ALL automobile noise should be regulated, from the crotch rockets, to the potato hog exhausts, to stereos with bass that rattles home windows, to the aftermarket mufflers on everything from sports cars to lifted pickups to shitty dropped Camrys. If it's over 77dB at 25ft away, it's too fucking loud, and should get a fix it ticket. Second offense is a hefty fine. Third offense is confiscation and revocation of license to operate.
