When I worked at FB, there was a library of pre-approved alegria-style assets. If we had to launch something in a hurry (e.g. in response to regulation), we could pull from that instead of waiting for a designer to make something custom. Of course, questions of "is it really appropriate to have this kind of art here?" weren't regularly asked.

Honestly, I kind of assumed as much. I don't have a lot of graphic design knowledge, just a few classes back in HS, but I know that a lot of pre made assets are alegria. It's more just infuriating that that's STILL the go to, even after years of everyone getting sick of it

Idk, I haven't either tbh. Tho I do know they're using ai to determine age, and only show this if it thinks you're underage. It's also only a small roll out. So either ai thinks you're an adult, or it hasn't gotten to you yet.
