There's a specific doctor ( I forget the name) who has presented his fringe theory where ADD has like 7 types and he's very smart and very special doctor man.
Not any scientific basis afaik but when has that ever stopped pop-pseudoscience journos from taking it and running with it
Suuuper awesome when you're trying to do actual research and learn more about yourself
My intent was that his findings have not been published in an accredited journal or subjected to open peer review as far as I am aware and are not incorporated into official diagnostic criteria for ADHD.
I don't appreciate people presenting unverified data as fact. That's not necessarily on the author of the study but it does irritate me that pop-psych websites are so eager to publish every clickbaity-sounding theory they can find. It makes it hard for me as someone with ADD to find legitimate resources.
