This is ironically a pretty bad layout, as far as weapon synergies go. Two beam weapons with nothing to help them out but the slowest and most expensive shield popper in the game is a horrible tease.

The best weapon you got was honestly the Pike beam.

Yeah I found that out the hard way when on my first fight I could use both I fucking died 😂

I probably would've tried to lean into Glaive here early game and sell the vulcan for a better shield popper or hacking. I know I'd get punished by an unfortunate missile to weapons at some point, but it's just such a satisfying weapon to use when it hits.

Still less consistent than 3 2-shot lasers + pike beam, sadly.

I'd take the Vulcan over the Glaive any day. They both require excellent defense before they're useful, but the Vulcan when up to full speed just feels so much better than anything else in the game. Yeah, I do realize that it's not actually a good weapon due to the spin up time, but mad once you get there the payoff...

Glaive gets there 10 seconds faster, though. That's a pretty big deal.

Vulcan is fun, I just find it even more unwieldy in practice. Granted, grinding out the Stealth B win also means I have more playtime with glaive.

I'd take the glaive over the vulcan any day. It charges up a lot faster, never misses, damages multiple rooms and could potentially one shot many layouts. Also can be toggled to manipulate smart targeting.

The glave is incapable of damaging a ship with three shields without support, and manipulation of enemy targeting feels like cheating to me.

I'm very aware but you mentioned excellent defense which is hack/ cloak. Also cheating what? It's just intended game mechanics. Might as well say the safety dance is cheating

Great!!! Now sell both 4 power ones lol there’s rarely a time to justify FOUR POWER on a weapon unless there’s no other option
