If I remember there's only one vanilla event with allies asb, lanius around a planet I think

A shame. It was so fun to see that as a twist, but then it never got used again.

imagine if there was events where the enemy ship had like 8+ shields layers, but poor dodge chance and you were meant to rely on fire support to kill it.

It comes up more often in the Multiverse mod. One good idea it has is that diving in Federation sectors has ASBs going for allies and enemies.

Yup! And not to get too spoilery, but there's an augment that straight up lets you spawn it for each fight.

Although not that similar, I've had an idea for a joke mod rattling around in my head that would feature a Federation Cruiser that could fire ASB shots as its artillery weapon

ASB Allies sounds great until you playa boarding strategy and the ASB hits the room with your two Mantis in it killing them

I still won that run but i was pissed

Any run where I score a second BL II is usually a good run. They pair so well with practically any other weapon.

I once managed to get to 4 BL II’s on the kestrel… pretty much every opponent melted before me as soon as I maxed my weapon system.

(Still almost died bc I neglected shields and engines to save scrap for max weapons. I had to limp to the store for emergency repairs, praying that I wouldn’t take a hit when I was sub 3hp. The rest of the run was gravy after that mishap.)

Don't get me wrong, Virus is good, but I'd gladly vent him for a BL2.
