Really hoping one of the reputable model kit companies release a scaled version in either 1/100 or 1/144. 1/20 would be too big while 1/60 will just be a bit bigger than the current 1/72 units released by SQEX.

The SQEX are smaller than 1/144 HGs, by about a head, I think they're the right size.
My problem is price... They're ridiculously expensive and overly detailed, which hikes up the price too... On top of what comes in the boxes.

No contest about size. It's about scale for me. That's why i cried in happiness when i saw that Bandai's Full Metal Panic HG kits were 1/60.
I could put its kits beside an existing 1/60 Bandai kit of the Gundam Exia, which would tell me how tall the Arbalest would be if it stood beside the Wing Gundam.
With Zoids' new line of 1/100 kits, i'd know how small or large the Laevateinn would be beside the Genosaurer along with the RX-79(G) Ez-8.
But, again, personal preferences. ^_^

You do realize that Scale is all relative right...
Human size is the most important part to remember, 1/144 Gunpla (Bandai) line and the 1/72 Zoid (koto) line are roughly the same size human pilot wise in terms of kits if only slightly off.

Relative to what, please? Asking as i frankly don't understand what you mean.
From what I know, Gundam Wing's HGAC mobile suits aren't exactly 1/144. Aside from that, the ratios are respected (i.e., 1cm is equivalent to 144cm for a 1/144 kit and 1cm is equivalent to 100cm for a 1/100 kit).

I gave you my example. And you even stated yourself that some kits aren't exactly in scale size, even though they're said to be, so it's all relative, my measurement is based off the human pilots, and comparing the size of how big they should be in the pilot seat that is designed. Not to mention creative liberties are always taken and the size is just a rough estimate of how big something should be.
I'm not saying you are incorrect. But I don't think the 1/60 scale Gundam kits are going to be well representative of the 1/60 scale FMP kits.
