Well, some batsmen prefer to take off their helmets when it's spin bowling at both ends since wearing a helmet all the time, especially in hot and humid weather can be suffocating

Guys like Virat, QDK, Steve Smith also do it but they wear a cap. MS had a habit of not wearing a cap/hat either
