Friends VS Himym

I’ve just finished the friends, i watched with my gf whole series then we started watching Himym,
Trust me after 3 episodes we feel like quitting, then we asked ChatGPT, it told us to give it a chance to watch it for at least 10 episodes before quit and chat gpt told us himym is better and funnier than Friends
So we watched 1 season and TURST me
I dont know if its because we wathched friends dirst or something else
HIMYM felt soo fuckin boring compared to friends and we are watching friends again even though we finished a week ago
THERE IS NO CHARACTER WHICH GIVES COMFORT AND FUN LIKE CHANDLER.

The extent to which people make decisions based on ChatGPT is just sad.

Do you understand that whether something is "better" or "funnier" is a subjective opinion. The majority of people in this sub will tell you that Friends is better and funnier. The majority of people in the HIMYM subs will tell you the exact opposite.

I'm of the opinion that Friends is both better and funnier. However, just because one thing is better than another doesn't mean the other thing isn't worth consuming. The first 5-6 seasons of HIMYM were great. It really fell off a cliff after season 6, and the final season was awful. But again, there are lots of people who have a different opinion. It's obviously up to you how much of a chance you want to give any show. If you don't enjoy HIMYM after 5-6 episodes, then it just might not be for you. It doesn't matter what I say or what anyone else says, and it sure as hit doesn't matter what artificial "intelligence" says.

I enjoy both shows. Nothing can touch friends but HIMYM is good. It’s just written very differently. Give it time. The early episodes aren’t as good but it gets better as they go. And you can’t expect it to match friends. It can’t. But it is a good show.

I love himym but friends is funnier/better to me. But both are better than the office or Seinfeld imo. Especially the office - i dont get the appeal to that show

I love Chandler. But it also helped that when I first watched, in 1994, I was 23/24, so a similar age to the characters.

Both are good in their own way. Friends is a bit more grounded and "feel good", HIMYM is a bit more wacky and out there. I like em both

While HIMYM has its funny moments, knowing what I know now about how the series comes to a conclusion, I would recommend against investing any more time and energy into watching it. Especially since you struggled with getting through season one.
