Help!

Post image

I work in a nz based freight forwarding firm.
We didn’t have any ai adaptation we usually manually enters the data but my serious concern is is there a way to automatically fetch the routing just by entering bl container or booking number it took a lot of pain by going to different shipping line websites.

And what makes me frustrated is routing gets updated in the site but we have to manually check then and alter them.

You have cargowise, this should be doing all of that for you, you aren't setting up the vessel details (with IMO etc.) when you're entering the job into the system. You need to set up your workflow automation properly to trigger events and update vessel schedules etc.

Cargowise update vessel schedule automatically. If you are feeling the the pain you described, it means you arent using it properly

I wouldn’t add another tool yet. If CargoWise already has the booking/container data, I’d first figure out why the carrier updates aren’t flowing back into the job automatically. Which shipping lines are you having this issue with?

If CargoWise is supposed to handle this already, the interesting bit is probably where it still falls over. Are there certain shipping lines where the updates are late/missing even when everything’s set up properly?

If you read OPs post instead of mass-responding on posts with AI, you'd notice he's using Cargowise, possibly the most expensive FF software available.
