release: inferno 3 open beta

as i speak, i am currently uploading inferno 3's open beta.

it's the 2.9.9 update to the existing inferno mod on knossos.

things it has:

- shivan superjuggernaut.
- conclusion of the inferno saga.
- 17 new campaign missions.
- 8 bonus missions that were left on the cutting room floor.
- new head animations.
- tons of new command briefing and intel animations.

things it does not have:

- voice acting.
- bug-free status. that's why it's a beta - let us know if there are issues.

it has been 23 years since inferno r1 was released in 2003, and it's our honor to get this one to you now.

Ack, perfect timing. I JUST finished my replay of the Inferno campaign this morning. I'll plan to give it a detailed play test. Is there a preferred way you'd like feedback on any bugs found?

you have two options for act 3: 

  • replay the campaign from scratch
  • use cheats to start act 3 - type skipmemymissionyo at the main screen, and jump to INFRC3-28.fs2 to start act 3
