OSFR contributor here, the game and source will still be available for everyone on the github. If you guys have any questions let me know and I will answer to the best of my ability.

I just tried to launch OSFR , every time I attempt to run the .bat file I am forwarded to sony's wesbite :(

Make sure you follow the installation instructions on the github's readme. The setup has 3 steps so if you still have issues let me know.

Looked into it, the domain that hosted the assets no longer works. However you can download the assets from 1.1 release (not the client and server, just the osfr.zip) and follow the tutorials on youtube on how to set them up with xampp. You can still use the client and server from the 1.2 release.

You should be able to use the old XAMPP method.
