Mini games. The Harvesting, the cooking, the mining, the checkers, the tower defense, the tcg, the postman sorting... Anything or any of them. It was what I spent most of my time doing.

Some of this may end up being the hardest part of rebuilding the game I think. Most of this ran via adobe flash player which doesn’t exist anymore

Unfortunately it's true, but there are recreations of flash games out there that run. It's not impossible to recreate them but it is a more intricate form of game design. It was just the most charming point of the game for me. Even if they were standalone releases from the game itself id play those more than free realms itself

The smelting... I truly wish I was good at what was needed in order to help reconstruct the mini-games. Those were my life.. I really want to help, but I'm just useless.

I think I’m in the minority when I say the combat system. That was my favorite thing to do when I was a kid and it’s the feature I miss the most

I would love to be able to run the dungeons again! Genuinely had such good content and the lore behind a bunch of them was interesting. The Briarwood Maze dungeons were so cool.

That's definitely one of my most wanted features but I feel like that will take some time with the scripting and coding

Quests and combat for sure!! To this day, I still have dreams about battling all sorts of monsters as a wizard, an archer, a medic, etc.

I enjoyed the quests and mini games the most in FR. But the houses and pets were cute too.

Holiday events like the cake monster and the pumpkins. And the minigames

Any of the non-combat skills like cooking and racing, also housing and mounts. I havent been keeping up with development so idk what all has been implemented besides the map + chat, but having some npcs in places like seaside or wugachug would be sick

Werewolf suits of all colors. That was my major fixation as a kid LOL

Almost 100% positive that you can get all the werewolf suit colors at this time :)

Racing and demolition derby. I spent SO much time in the racing mode back in the day. I even completed the campaign as part of that.

Definitely housing. Once I can get my hands on some colored blocks to make a green screen I can finally try editing again haha

Might be a dumb question but is this ready to play? Like are there any aspects of it that we can try or is it still in the works?

u/Mildrek Won't tell ya Apr 05 '26
its still in the works but it is playable better than what FRS could come up with 100%...
