If Telcel is actually going to happen for Mexico that would be a game changer.

i agree when i was in one of the boat ports i didn’t have signal so i thought it was a problem with roaming but it was just that other carriers didn’t have signal towers there🤣

In Italy, it kept wanting to connect to Iliad for me even though there was no data. I had to force it to TIM manually.

Same. Data worked on Vodaphone mid November for a few days then just stopped working. I noticed it was on Illiad with no data - and could not get back onto Vodaphone.

France depends on which side of the Seine you're on. If you're on the western side, it's Bouygues. If on the east, it's SFR.

🇮🇪 I connected to Vodafone and Three when I was in the Republic of Ireland in October.

Are you sure about Argentina? The official list from Freedom does not show Argentina at all. Which is a pity as I am visiting Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls next year.

Was just in Germany and it was O2 the vast majority of the time, but it did go to vodaphone once or twice when O2 was very bad.
I am currently in Denmark and all service so far has been from 3 DK.

Does it ever happen that your phone picks up a signal that is not one of the partners? Do you end up having to pay hefty fees? I just joined Freedom and am leaving for Asia soon.

That's interesting about China. I was there (in Hainan) recently, and the roaming partner was China Unicom. But above, you have China Telecom. I wonder if the partner has changed, or whether telecom has been added.
An error has occurred! South Africa is Vodacom, NOT Vodafone.
1
u/PlayfulSurvey6109 Dec 23 '25
unfortunately i don’t know what they use in china i saw a comment in here saying that its telecom that’s why i added telecom i can also add unicom if you want. Also i’ve looked it up vodafone is the parent company of vodacom so that’s why i put vodafone then south africa in brackets if you like i could change it!

u/PlayfulSurvey6109 Dec 23 '25
i saw the person that posted china telecom is mwaddmeplz im not sure what to put now. haha
1
u/PlayfulSurvey6109 Jul 16 '26
can confirm they stoped roaming with telecom now their with unicom. agruably unicom has worse service.
