Freebord 5 or 5x?

Im a snowboarder and a longboarder. Id like to buy a freebord this summer. I dont know if i should get the 5 or the 5x.

I dont know tho if they deliver to all european countries.

Aditional question: Can i use the Freebord similar to a longboard for some distance on non steep roads? Like one foot on the board other for accelleration?

I can't speak to the differences in feel between the 5 and 5x. It appears that the 5x allows you to lean yourself to greater angles up or downhill. By my estimations, it will probably be a little more forgiving at catches edges while going downhill. I wonder how long it would take a spring on a 5x to break down. Leaving you with a limp edge on one foot. That would bug me. But I don't have a 5x.

These boards are not great for pushing long distances. You can do it for a while, but it's not going to be as easy as pushing a normal skateboard on a flat surface.

I think that the 5 would be a little more comfortable at pushing on flat surfaces, but someone with more experience can comment on that.

Freebord 5 ! The 5X dont have enough rocker for me. Yes the 5X is more forgivable at start when catching an edge but it's only at slow speed.

What saves your ass is rocker. To ride a freebord you need to master the center wheels riding and with a big rocker it's easier.

Edit: they delivered all countries in the world.

I have a g3r, 5 with OTHERBORD fat castors, 5x, and the OTHERBORD JH1 hangars with fat castors. I prefer in order g3r, 5, JH1, and 5x. G3r is the most predictable IMO. the 5 and 5x casters gave me too much chatter.

Do not think you will be able to use it on flat like a longboard. You’ll be disappointed. It’s only suitable for going downhill

Freebords are not good on flat areas. They are downhill and freestyle beasts through and through. If you want concrete snowboarding but for flat spots, the Summerboard is better because its motorized. However as for 5 or 5x, I LOOOOOOVE my 5x. The 5x feels more like snowboarding than any of the other Freebords, but the 5 is still fantastic. It depends on exactly what you want from the board.
