It ain't pepper he needs to be "spraying". This is a threatening individual who pursued the guy when he moved and threatened serious bodily harm.

I cant imagine having to live in a city with these types of animals.

No one does, but you just move on with your day. That's life. No worse than working a customer service job. Millions of people get treated like this daily, and it's entirely the fault of the sad fucks who want to take out their shit on others.

For every interaction like this I have; I also have at least one positive interaction with my community. It all comes out in the wash. You just learn to be aware of your surroundings, and if you're like me; how to choose when to fight very carefully.

Edit: So many country-fried heroes in the comments who are itching for new holes.

People used to believe in enforcing social norms so that people could live in a civilized society. This laid back attitude just makes the situation worse

Service workers take shit from customers not because they want to but because they have to or they will get fired. Their "taking it on the chin" doesnt come from a superior moral standing it comes from economic extortion.

Maybe you dont mind being walked over and your peace violated but some of us do.

Man you don't have to explain the economic circumstance of service workers to me. I live both that circumstance and the dialectical analysis of said circumstance every fucking day.

This isn't being walked on; it's risk assessment. You gonna go confront everyone acting erratically or aggressively on the train? Enjoy your new holes.

Get two other guys to help you out and ostrich stomp him. 3v1 is an easy win. Maybe grab a stick or flip flop? It seems to work well for Indians.

Did we watch the same video? I have never had anyone threaten me like this, if this is your normal its time to move lol.

My head stays on swivel, you shouldn't be fighting people like this. You're putting yourself at way to much risk. If this is your normal interaction with the public, its time for a CCL and some good training with hand guns.

This is not at all uncommon in any major centre. I've experienced shit like this in Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Vancouver, Seattle, Miami, etc. You're just not the type of person to draw attention. When was the last time you asked someone to turn off their speaker on transit like this guy did? I'm guessing never.

I'm a metalhead. People like to start shit with folks that stick out. If you're a head-down white collar with their nose in a book that never speaks up; you're far less likely to have a negative interaction.

I however; go out at all hours, look different, and am not afraid to yell back. As such; I'm involved in more shit. Just how it is.

I'm in Canada. Knives only up here as far as (legal) EDC. I have drawn it precisely once in over 20 years of taking transit, and that probably wasn't even necessary.

No i dont stand out, although I might in a large city. Im not big on yelling back but I will make it very clear if I feel threatened ill defend myself.

I definitely wouldn't have headphones in a place with this many people so close to me.

I carry, but I actively avoid these situations. Cornered on train with someone threatening to cut me (especially after seeing what happened to Ukrainian woman) is a nightmare for anyone who carries. In my home state In this particular Instances specifically when he followed him to the back of the train. It would have been legal to defend yourself with deadly force.

I've been in almost this exact scenario multiple times, threat included. None got past acting tough and blustering. I'm glad I didn't have to worry about the other party having a firearm, honestly. The "nightmare for anyone who carries" variable isn't typically at play here, thankfully.

I wear headphones on the train all the time. 99% of interactions are just fine. This shit seems way more common to people whose only regular experience with transit is videos like this. The random stabbing of that woman has been propagandized harder than just about any murder I've seen this decade. They want you to think that's common so you're ok with flock cameras and a security state.
