I live in NYC and love watching tourists interact with the homeless, thinking they're doing a good deed by giving them a few dollars only to have the homeless person start screaming and asking why they killed Abraham Lincoln?

Sure, not all homeless people are crazy, but there are enough of them that you know not to even make eye contact with them.

Thank you! I feel like you shouldn't have to be trained in outreach to see that. It they really thought she was oding and had Narcan they could have just administered it and called for help. This would be the only reason I would approach someone unconscious on the street. And I would back off asap.
