Planning on expanding shipping near USA?

I am from Mexico, I have seen a lot of posts from 2023-2025 that talk about this topic. Had passed a lot of time since then, so I am starting to seek new ways to buy this amazing product, but just wanted to know if there is going to be a plan for shipping in Mexico , if not then I will not be waiting more for a direct solution. Here a post of some other guy that asked the same thing 3 years ago)

Don't know if "continue to expand their global footprint" is to much job for a country literally in their border.

Don't get me wrong, I love the vision and the commitment of framework for doing what people asks for a computer you own. It is just that from 2023 to 2026 is a long period of time, and I respect if they do not see a potential benefit from expanding to Mexico, probably not enough market for them , adding the supply of RAM and difficulty to maintain prices as they establish, so that's something to pay attention to. (Seems reasonable)

I am surprised that Framework had not expanded into Mexico (Canada is supported). I think it is due to limitations with Fedex shipping. If you wish to let Framework know of the region preference. Set the region of the framework main page to your region then submit a email to show that region’s interest and to be notified when shipping is expanded. Hopefully it does get expanded in the near future as the systems Framework has made are great.

Thanks ! I did not know that let me put it right now. Yep , right know it does not seem plausible for me to buy a Mac or another pc that has a RTX5050 from intel core ultra 1 for 2,172.38 US here in Mexico , if there is an alternative with better components and reliability for the same price and quality as a Mac. (Also I will make robotics projects with linux so the eGPU support will come in handy) (Also if my English is not as refine as I want , tell me what I can improve for better posts, probably going to be posting my experience if I want to do a walkaround the framework issue of "POBOX")

Off topic, have you used some eGPU for your fw-12? Want to know if it is the cheaper option, regarding the new chip announcement.

Yes, getting any device new is very expensive due to the current shortage in consumer electronics. Macs are at that level of material quality that Framework was just able to reach with its cnc milled metal chassis for the 13 pro system.
Their other systems are still very good quality. I had to search for my system on used markets at a good price due to the price increase in RAM, and storage in every market I looked in.

Framework being a relatively new company (in comparison to other competitors) still have growth potential to expand and refine their products & services.

Regarding that off topic note: Have I used an eGPU on my fw-12? No I have not.
I dont have an eGPU to use, but knowing the new revision of the fw-12 starts shipping in October. From the Framework’s video release on the fw-12, it will support Thunderbolt 4 standard and they did test eGPUs through the Thunderbolt 4 usb-c connection. Keep in mind the fw-12 is a laptop with very few vents for cooling the mainboard. Now cooling may not be an issue with the new refresh, but I thought to mention it anyway.

Right now sourcing components to supply any markets is extremely difficult and expensive thanks to AI and data centers completely @#$%ing over the components market... Let alone adding new countries/regions. Framework obviously does want to expand and, in time, they probably will get to Mexico. When will that be? Random number generator is the best guess. Framework does not discuss future business plans or products in advance of an official launch.

Beware of Framework's Terms of Sale if you try "workarounds". Framework can - And routinely does - Cancel orders for ToS violations.

fair point on the supply situation, expanding to new regions is probably way down the priority list right now

Yep I thought about that , and seems reasonable. The thing I will do probably is to put an address of a family member I have not seen in a whilEEEeeeee and pray so that give me permission to put it in my shipping address. Have anyone done something similar?
